Really, really cool 355 project. Did you guys ever follow-through with that 550 project? If I recall correctly, you were considering a 275 GTB-esque C pillar in place of the window glass?

Sad, but glad he put a cage in it.

 

Honestly, I feel that ruined the car. It was such a nice pristine restoration and the cage was just out of place. Looks like it never got painted. Sad to see this one hit the dirt.

 

I totally agree, i meant it sounds like he tracked this thing alot and it may have saved his or his passengers life

I just went back and looked through the original restoration with paint change, and subsequent transmission and roll cage work. What a shame!

If I knew I was going to split street and track driving almost equally, I think I'd have looked for a salvage car to begin with. Then again, maybe the prior owner of this car was so loaded, this was his beater.

 

Many F355 Challenge cars around today, including mine, suffered damage far worse than that when they raced...






My car is five shades of yellow...maybe six!

 

But it's not a race car, my friend. This is a car that had a full restoration.

 

It's an F355 just like mine. It can be fixed just as mine and many others were fixed and go out once again to do whatever the owner wants to do with it.
