Thanks, guys. :) I don't think we have a Kragen's here, so I'll probably go with Ricambi.

Are you guys saying that kit is $1100? To quote my daughter.....OMG!!!!! There is nothing there, other than possibly the reducers, that is not a standard pipe that any silicone hose manufacturer wouldn't have on the shelf at a fraction of that price. Does the stuff come with a lifetime warranty, a guy who personally comes out and fits it for you and are the clamps titanium???
ohh wow where have all the Scuderia Rampante double rainbow fans gone? some of you can line up now to start apologizing to me and others. I don't know how many times myself and others were attacked for getting off the SR bandwagon early.
Rob - FBB will be along soon. It's like saying Beetle juice three time You missed the other thread over the weekend
FYI Dave seems to have settled down the last couple years, we actually talked offline and I almost went to see him when I stayed a week in Boulder. As far as I'm concerned there isn't a battle like the old days.
I've spoken to Dave once or twice. I think he is a nice, super knowledge man. I just don't subscribe to some of his products so because of that I was labeled as a hater.
It's early and I am easily confused. Is this a list OEM rubber hoses or a list of the SRI hoses pictured?
Dave, Brian, and other pros, contributed far more than they ever received in return. Personally, their knowledge and experience, that they freely shared, is sorely missed.
he was one of the double rainbow guys, I couldn't lift a finger without what seemed like everyone attacking me, very few supported me either.
Ha, I see Daniel liked your post, but who's the first one that complains when any of the pros starts making a competitive product?
So, shall we derail this thread now? Brian? Yes. Brian is a genuinely helpful guy with a rough on-line mannerism. He has helped me learn a ton about these cars. He has called me an ******* and I have yelled at him. I could have lunch with him today. Dave? No way. His online & in person persona was awful. He received a TON of free advertising and resulting sales on this site. And God forbid you called first hand experience BS on his Gold Connector Kit, hoses or other parts as him and his supporters would trash you into the ground. It will happen now that I just said it. I guarantee it. This is an excellent forum. The pro's that do share here are great assets to us stooges. The pros that post to sell parts are fine as well....they pay a fee to do so. Some are helpful to stooges. Some just want to sell the products they have. That's fine. Commercial posts to sell product under the guise of a "user" are freeloaders. Being antagonistic and condescending makes it worse. I just described Dave. Did I just get banned?
I had a completely different experience with Mr. Helms. I reached out to Dave early on in my Ferrari ownership when I came across some of his early posts where he helped another forum member with an issue that sounded similar to mine. Over the course of several months we spoke directly over the phone and he provided suggestions and guidance that was completely uncompensated. Note that this was long before I ever purchased any of his products. I have since visited him in Colorado more than once and on each occasion I found him very welcoming. I wish he were back here contributing.
I guess Scuderia Rampante thought it was a good deal at the time (silicone purported to be a superior product). Adding up the prices for the OEM rubber set, it comes to a not insignificant U$984.
I have not had Scuderia Rampante hoses in my hand seen just online. As a partner in a silicon hose company I can say by looking at the pictures his are most likely USA made to the highest standards. I would take a guess and say I know and deal with the company that makes them, they are the world leader in hose technology. For the highest standard cost effective design they cant beat ours. We only serve heavy equipment fleet non US spec. Heavy equipment fleet has a move date on consumables. If they fail our insurance pays for downtime. It's all simple math. So yes I say they are the best made for the 355 I think LOL xoxo
I'm 47 going on 48. Had my first car at 17. I've owned probably 25 vehicles in my life. Never had a coolant hose fail. I guess I'm just lucky (disclaimer - some of those vehicles were 2 year leases but I would do 40K miles before turning them in)
