Not an F car, but a P car...Plymouth. You guys are showing your good stuff. Here is my latest acquisition with two of my boys. A one owner 1969 Plymouth Satellite 318 v8 3 on the tree (manual 3 speed on the column) Last licensed 1983. Parked because the alternator went out as the story goes. The wife was a bit pissy...maybe it will grow on her. The boys were stoked! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Dad bought a new one. We drove it 400,000 miles. Auto went out once. I drove it to the junk yard. 318 is a great motor
and at the other end of the scale I recently got this - straight swapped it. '58 Apache 3800 wrecker - 350 small block, 4 on the floor, loud and ratty but real fun to drive and gets thumbs up everywhere. Image Unavailable, Please Login
That is one sweet rock and roll. Do you get to use it like it is meant to? Edit On better look I guess there is no lifting motor or anything left.. Reminds me of this. Soul devils tow truck, seen it couple times in cruise nites, mean and evil thing.
I'd leave it green, black steel wheels with chrome nuts and a fiberglass hood with hood pins à la 69 1/2. Cool!
Good day Russell, Nice! I have a certain fondness for old trucks... I had a '59 GMC that is similar to what you presented, except it was a extended long box 1/2 ton. I recently sold my '57 Chev 3/4 ton (pretty much original in excellent condition)... which was a mistake... but the plan was to sell the truck to buy another old rig. Unfortunately things did not follow the plan. Cheers, Sam Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Well Sam, how often does the plan ever get followed ? In my lifetimes experience I'd say pretty much never ! I bought a '59 Cadi sedan in pieces and the odds of ever putting back together we're really remote. This cropped up and I did a straight swap as it was a running, driving car. I've never had anything ratty before but this is real fun - people love it and I now get the whole old truck thing. Also, my plan was to buy the manual 400GT I mentioned a while back. But then this V12 Jag XJC turned up and once again my plans changed.
Plus I'm in the US for a couple of weeks and bought this lovely '70 Buick Electra in Nashville to take home. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I bought this beast last year as my requisite sedan/daily duty mobile. But, I got carried away somewhat and it took more than 6 months to get it out of the shop as a result of multiple dozen orders from all over in order to get it to where I wanted the car to be. Yes - it is fun, loud, fast, and makes me feel like a 17 year old hooligan every single time I turn it on. I highly recommend enjoying things that make you happy before finances, health and/or ? get in the way! Like the 400i, I hopefully shall never be tired of it, let alone sell it Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yup - I am consistent - Administrators - you can help (maybe?) with me simply trying to post pics, as apparently, I can no longer do that anymore despite loading multiple 100's over the years. This sux! But, the new website is consistently (bad) and so am I, I guess... PS - This, after deleting entirely my first post because the same result occurred. Ask me how I really feel.
Haha.....SNAP. Purchased in Juneish, broke down 215 miles from home (after 1800 miles of trouble free driving from Melbourne. Just got it almost fixed yesterday. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
haha. What I interpeted as a “other than your 400i” thread is a “other than Ferrari” thread. Ok. hah. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
