In my search of recreation companies I came across this:
    Finesportscars.com in San Diego.
They claim to be the best recreation manufacturers.
    Does anyone know them?
    Your feedback is welcome

As the owner of a company that builds replicas. This is exactly spot on. I have recieved letters. Mostly scare tactics. They are always over reaching threats. Bottom line is... don't badge or market the car with the original manufactures name or model name or badging and you are free to tell them to go **** themselves

I happened upon this video (NOTE: all modern replicas, the worst of which is mid-way through where a I guy turned a real 430 into an "Enzo"):

    I've seen the F430/"Enzo" in person before...I had to do a double-take.

Your words are both sensate and mature. It is the first time in my quite long life now, I read plain, sound reasons to consider a good replica sportscar as a clever option for the true driving enthusiast, Many tks!

Grant, I am curious, as a Daytona enthusiast, could you tell this was a fake if you did not walk up to it? They seems so accurate.

This one is particularly good John.
99% of normal people would not know.
Not unless you knew the Daytona really well, you would struggle with this one, the builder [ ex engineer] knew as much about the Daytona as I did 5 years ago, and went to great lengths to get his as accurate as possible, the main give a ways are, the stupid spots on the front, but they are easily removed, and the Jag ignition barrel, the body is good but the shape is not perfect, this is a rare coupe which had some Kevlar in the body work I believe. I think Autokraft only made a handful of these coupes. Most are no where near this standard.

Looking at the pictures I guess the profile is slightly off with although hard to be sure without a direct side shot.

Yes, the shape of the fake Daytona does not seem awkward at all. The GTO replicas should be this accurate.

    Dear Nathan

The 156 F1 and the Works TR replica were both sold at Coys Auction Islington, London, December 2000.

I had the auction catalogue in my hands recently to do with another car.

Not really a recreation, but more of a "decreation". A 330 GT body left over from a recreation fitted with a Mustang chassis -> 1964 Ferrari 330 GT 2+2 | eBay

It's a free world, but the eBay description bothers me a lot -> "The car was too nice to cut up and we have cut up a bunch of them!"

Not a Mustang chassis (they were all unibodies).

Kind of cool, but that's a lot of beans for a tube chassis and a thrown-away body.

Not the same time period for this thread, but not sure where to put this...NOT MY CAR! No vested interest in this deal.

    https://houston.craigslist.org/cto/6049856936.html

For sale is a 1991 Ferrari 348 TS that has been converted into a Ferrari 355. Only known conversion ever done, in the world. All real Ferrari 355 parts used. Car is in great condition and ready to drive daily. Runs and drives perfect. Brand new Alpine white paint job, for that Miami Vice look! This is gated shift manual transmission, with no electronic aids. Last of the true raw drivers Ferrari's. Like the classic air cooled 911's and acura nsx, these gated shift Ferrari's are expected to sky rocket in value, and have already double in value in past 8 years. Drive your dream car for years, and sell it for a profit! Car is rebuilt title due to minor accident before 355 conversion. No structural or mechanical damage. Call for more info. Priced way below market value, to sell immediately. So hurry before its gone. First come first serve. call me anytime. I'm located with car, in Las Vegas.
