How many Ferrari cars have you owned in your life so far? This has probably been asked before, but it is time for an update from all FerrariChat users. For this survey, consider Dino 246 GTS and GTB cars a "Ferrari", also any Dino GT4 cars. Sorry, but Fiat Dino cars don't count. Some of the biggest fans have owned zero cars and there are people who own over a hundred in their collection. Or, people who have owned several over the years and currently don't own one. Tell us how many Ferraris you've had the pleasure of owning so far in your life. I think it will be an interested survey to look at the results. Survey to follow. If you want to comment, tell us the FIRST Ferrari you ever owned. Thanks.
My first Ferrari was also a 328 - White w/Black interior. I drove that car like a mad dog, and it had over 30K miles. Wished I had kept it, but you gotta move on. 1 1987 328 GTS (White w/Black Interior) 2 1983 512 BBi (Red / Back Exterior with Tan Interior) 3 2007 612 HGTS (Current) (Grigio Silverstone with Cuoio and Nero Daytona Stripe Interior) The Boxer was just too heavy and ponderous; but, a glorious flat 12 engine. 612 has to be the most underrated Ferrari ever, as it would stomp my previous Ferraris without breaking a sweat.
348 TS for one year in 1999. Too small (I'm 6'5"), seemed under-powered (not enough low end torque). Sold it and bought a C5 Corvette convertible, which I still have. 550 Maranello now, bought 7 months ago. Keeper.
1st Ferrari was a 246GT then 360 Modena Now, nada! We are talking full size, right? 'cause if I add in Matchbox and some of the larger scale models I'm probably closer to 75. D
Started with a BB512, love the rawness, as some said they can be ponderus, but 17 in wheels ps2 and an aligment cures that gives great feedback and puts them into modern grip territory. Have yet to drive another that would compel me to move on. Tried to love a 458 and it has the looks but felt too synthetic on road. Would love to try a 365GTC daytona and an f40.
My first was an 87 328 GTS. Also red and tan. I still love that car, and still have it 10 years on. I will never sell it. My 05 430 is currently my daily driver. I probably would have had several more Ferraris by now if I had been willing to sell... but no. So, a slow accumulation rather than a ' burn and churn' for me.
Four so far... 2002 360 Spider TDF over Tan 2006 F430 Spider Giallo Modena over Nero 2005 612 Scaglietti NART Blue over Tan 2007 599 GTB Fiorano in Rubino Micalizzato over Cuoio None at the moment, but I've been promised first right of refusal on a 2012 xxx xxxxxx in xxxxxx over xxxxx, my dream car, my perfect spec. Hopefully this year.
In order of purchases... 2000 550 Maranello in Grigio Titanio 2011 458 Italia in RC 2016 F12 in Grigio Titanio 2015 458 Speciale in RC 2009 Scuderia 16M in RC
I like the classic V8s. 1982 Mondial 8 - red/tan 1988 Mondial 3.2 Coupe - black/red 1990 348ts - black/black 1992 348tb - black/black
That depends if you call a 246 Dino GT a "Ferrari" or not. 70 246 Dino GT 79 308 GTB 82 308 GTS 08 F430 spider 12 458 coupe 13 458 spider So my count is 5.
First was a 1988 328 GTS black/tan --- still own it 17 years later. Not my first Italian, though. Had a Fiat and three Alfas before that. (Still own one of the Alfas 38 years later.) When I first bought the Alfa, back in '79, had tons of people say "I used to own an Alfa -- wish I still had it". So I still have mine. And I still miss the GTV-6 I sold.
I am on my 4th Ferrari, although 4th isn't here yet, but today I was told it was on the boat. 2 preowned and 2 new 1. 2001 550, should have kept this for sure biggest mistake of my car life getting rid of this car 2. 07 F430 3. 15 458 4. 17 Cali T
1999 Modena Unless I can count parts installed from later model years or different models.....then I claim these too...hehe... 2004 Challenge Stradale 2005 430 Challenge
just one: 2004 CS. still trying to decide if the fun of owning one outweighs the headaches. It had been a fun four years but also at the same time a painful two. I may be either too poor or too cheap for F-car ownership.
Just three from September 2004. 1983 Mondial QV Rosso/Crema (kept for about six years) 1997 F355 Berlinetta Giallo/Nero (about five years) 2001 360 Modena - Rosso/Nero. They were all 'lifers'
