Good heavens! You mean to tell me that a "Green-White-Checker" caused a sporting issue? Too bad we just can't put NASCAR out of their misery. BHW
Again...I sense such animosity towards NASCAR. Why give it the time of day, then? (or is it than?) (edit: btw, I agree that Nemechek shoulda been penalized, I thought that was the decision we were waitin' for...)
As a racer, I find the constant bunching up to be very frustrating to watch. All the lead a driver worked so hard for, gone. The fuel and tire strategy, gone. It also makes things very suspect to race "management" to re-roll the dice if the people in charge like not how the result would otherwise likely be. if you watched every race of the chase Brad Keselowski won, you'd perhaps understand better. He won against a stacked deck, it was very remarkable. I was listening to their in car radio every race. There was a constant stream of yellow's that would catch them at the wrong time, it wasn't coincidence. You should of heard the pissed off voice the president of NASCAR had when he got on the radio to "congratulate" and give him instructions on where to bring his car. A Chevy was supposed to win that year.
I understand your dislike of NASCAR and don't fault it but do get tired of hearing about it - we all know you don't like it
What a ride life has been for him already. Glad to see him punch another chase ticket, and glad to see him away from the joke that MWR was with his career still in progress.
Oh no!!! You hadda push my button. The wonderous (or should I say wonderess...) Patrick. Nearly, like, twenty years racing cars and, like, one race , like, win (albeit an economy run). Oh, hey. She, like, led her first 500, but, like, only because, like, Bobby kept her out, like, when everyone else pitted. Not like she "raced" into the lead. And who was that she hit whilst under a yellow? I hadda. It's genetic.
I was going to make a general macho statement on the above but then thought of my 26 year old daughter who kicks my a** on the track - A well known racer who was teaching my daughter many years ago told her that you have to be willing to run over your grandmother to win - she told my wife that she would nit run over her grandmother but she would run over her! Little sh*t - last time on the track together it was a ball Sorry to get a little (a lot) off topic
Give me Denise McCluggage, Janet Guthrie, Lella Lombardi, Lyn St. James, Sarah Fisher, Katherine Legge, Milka Duno....no wait , scratch her....anybody but the "girl wonder".....
Well Richmond has turned into a wreck fest the last 60 laps. Who would have guessed Cars on fire, cars on top of each other........ Cats and dogs sleeping together. Image Unavailable, Please Login
The exciting finalee to "set the chase" - lowest ratings of any NASCAR race yet this season. Please pretty please go back to a points system that isn't pointless. The harder NASCAR looks at their social media metrics and try to "fix things" the worse it gets.
An interesting idea, roll back to the 10 car + 2 winners outside the top 10 make the chase. As before each race win pre chase counting as a point in the chase. However, make the addition, that each non lead lap finish results in -1/2 point going into the chase. Every crash, every reliability issue, would take its penalty in the chase. This would make the entire season more meaningful.
Add the term "Encumbered finish" to the list of NASCAR's in-season rule changes. This basically means, "Now, ya'll go out dere and be breakin these heah rules and we bein determinin how much ya'll done bent dem rules and we be bringin the finin and suspendin." NASCAR strips Chase benefits from ?egregious? rule violations BHW
