Fed will not raise rates this year. Cash is worthless in large volumes. When traditional investing gets out of sorts people turn to tangible assets.

Exotics and collectible cars will do well as long as this continues.

The Bonhams sale at Goodwood the day of the Brexit announcement was fine. What else are these folks going to do with their money?

yes, you are correct that prices are all over the place. however:
1- asking price is not always well correlated with actual sales price.
2- the specific example you showed was for an '86 as opposed to '89 in the prior post (which typically fetches more).
3- the listing was for a GTB but the pic was of a GTS. very different market.

    :)

Not only is the first car a GTB, which are about fifteen times more rare than GTSs in the US (about 130 imported vs about 2200) so yes, a very different market, but it is the "last before the last" imported in the US (= there is only chassis # 82906 as for US GTBs after that one)

Good to know. I have been reading a lot and every little bit helps. There was a time I knew a lot about these cars and then switched to other interests, like Porsche and others, but find myself back looking at 308's and 328's again. Enjoy.
