In my opinion, the '65 is the cleanest and best looking of the fastback series. Every year after 1965, the styling became more and more busy and convoluted. The 2016 is also a vast styling improvement over earlier 2000's Impalas. Congratulations!

    Agree for sure.
Nice tribute, Door Man. Does your black Chev have the V-8?

The new Impala is exactly what it is supposed to be- a big American car. The ride on them is superb. The seats are super comfortable. I just wish they made them RWD, like the old school Impalas. I once spoke to an engineer at GM and he said that is what they wanted to do, but couldn't because of CAFE regulations.

    Nice ride mate.

The ride is very good and plenty of power from the V6, over 300hp. Handles well for a commuter car and has everything you could ever want or need, also nice lines nice interior comfy and giant trunk.

I wish it was RWD also but it does not have that FWD feel that I remember from older FWD cars.

I do not like the Good Year tires, they seem a bit road noisy.
There is no nav standard, it comes with the WiFi package, but my wife and i use a phone for that so no problem.

I like the 3 usb ports that can be used for charging or playing mp3s on a flash drive.
I like the ergonomics, just get in and go no getting used to it.
I do not like the squarish rear view mirrors, I am used to rounded type, but I will get used to it.

I like that it is about 20-30k less than a comparable Cadillac.

Great car at a great price.

I have some long trips coming up so I will put it to a real test for comfort.

Nice ad-hoc review KENCO. You don't often see real world comments like yours in reviews by Consumer Reports, R&T, C&D, etc.

It's a shame the Chevrolet SS didn't sell better and stay in production.

The entire Holden based GM cars are like artists, nobody appreciates them until there gone.

Everyone wants a 2004-06 GTO now. And the G8 was a great car, now it's the Caprice Police car, if they are still making that.

I will be like Mad Max soon "last of the V8's":
