I intended the comment to be one regarding how expensive the fiat was rather than a comment on 300sl values. That is all. A N D it is bloody freezing.

Fished with some anglers from New Zealand...Good People.

I was completely Shocked that the non-original resprayed black Gullwing gaveled for $1.6 Million.

Waaaaaaaaaaaay too much $$$ in my opinion!

Indeed but that's Monterey. I always wonder how many of the outliers are influenced by the free flowing booze at the big auctions?

Are you referring to the Gullwing at Gooding? The color is Dunklegrau(1 of 2) and it is stunning in person. Market correct price IMO.

I was referring to the Gullwing that sold at the Mecum Monterey auction this past weekend.

The Gullwing was painted black with red interior ( Car was originally Red with green plaid interior) & the hammer price, prior to commision was 1.450 million.

Here is the link to the Gullwing I was referencing...

Maybe he was just hired to act like he's at an auction buying as many "donuts" he can and someone forgot to tell him he should give appearance to have interest in what he's doing ? Or maybe he just don't like "donuts" at all ?

If you are talking about the Eden Roc vehicle, that price will seem cheap later. Beautiful design, highly exclusive and really cool. Like 1 of 2.

You are judging it by performance standards; if so, no vintage car is worth anything.

Fair enough, I agree its a fairly cool little car but just still not sure there is enough intrinsic value to get it quite that high.

I won't have full results for 1 more week. Have just received an email from Rick Cole stating they will not release until then.

Dear Marcel, I have been looking for some information on the original colour and the colour at the 1956 Tour de France of the 250 GT with chassis number 0557 GT. Could you possibly provide the 'model car community' some information on the colour(s). Mostly the model cars are painted in grey, which I doubt is correct.
I hope for a positive response.

What makes you post the same question in half a dozen threads?
    A little unusual, I think.
Why are you looking so badly for 6105?

I have already posted an answer to your question in another thread.
