Does made by PF mean Not made by Ferrari?? Davide458italia: Gianni Agnelli's Ferrari Testarossa Spider at Motor Gallery https://www.facebook.com/FerrariTestarossaSpider.V.C0071/info?tab=page_info All Ferraris Specially made by Pininfarina for Gianni Agnelli, who bought it in 1986. The colour is grey with white interior and it has a dark blue stripe at the bottom and a white top. The engine lid is also very special and different than on most Spider conversions. Besides that, the front window and the door windows are both shorter than on normal cars. As a final touch, the Ferrari logo on the front hood is not made of aluminium, but of silver. Registered on plates TO 02587F (I). Later crashed by the son of Gianni Agnelli.
Funny look at the left right flare that rises up behind the headrest and slopes down to the fender.. You can recognize who did the conversion by certain styling cues that were utilysed by the maker of such.. The yellow car has these cues and so does agnelli's car.. interesting!! http://davide458italia.blogspot.com/2013/05/gianni-agnellis-ferrari-testarossa.html
It was built in the fall of 1986; and since it's a European model, and Europe doesn't do model years the way we do here in North America, it's an '86.
Actually, we used to have model years running from 1st of July the year before to end of June of the year. At least in France where I live. This has been stopped only in 2000 (to sync with calendar years). Fall of 86 should be an 87 model in my opinion, except if Italy ran differently ... couldn't find confirmation w/ goooogle, would need help from some italian friends here.
I was talking about the F512M, not about the Testarossa And indeed, there is at least one "official" Testarossa Spider. Perhaps some more, but I still have to figure that out ...
Thanks for the information. Always good to hear what's incorrect or missing. I did a big update last year, with for example a nice colour overview of the Testarossa, plus some more details about the market differences. See: Red Headed - Testarossa Red Headed - Testarossa Unfortunately, I didn't have the time yet to do the same for the 512 TR and F512M. Maybe somewhere in the future

This is new information to me, thank you. I was always under the impression that B VIN Ferraris were titled in the year they were built, even if they were built late in the year.
For some reason my 1995 512TR has been missed of the list. It's vin is 99295 I think it's one of the last before the face lift 512M. Pics are on page 17 of this thread.
I have it in the one I'm trying to keep up. BTW guys, this is NOT my registry but something someone else had started here on F-chat and I decided to try to keep it up to date. I took over in December 2012 and there was around 80 cars in it but nothing had move for over a year. I also added the single Mirror cars from another thread. I also try to register the cars I see for sale on EBay and else where. I started to collect the pictures of them in a file with their C/N. Only one pic of each. Someday I will probably pass it up to another enthusiast F-chatter or just leave it here to be continued by the next volonteer.
No, I didn't pull the trigger at Mershon's, They sold it (auction I believe), went to Charles Schmitt in St. Louis in early December, They have done an engine out service and clutch, and should be getting it on Tuesday...Can't wait !!!

Ha...don't know, I wasn't driving it at that point, but it came up the driveway without a problem... Thats the last time it will "see" snow !
