Impossible: "les Félins" was shot in 1964, not 1961...so if these pics were taken during the filming of the movie indeed, these are from 1964, not 1961.

the shooting of this film was directed by Rene Clement during the summer of 1962 until the beginning of 1963 on the French Riviera between Antibes and Monaco and was out in cinemas in 1964 actually, so I made a error mentioning 1961, the photo was taken from LIFE magazine which sent a reporter on the set to meet the players

Sorry, but I have to disagree: on the page accessed by the link hereunder, click on tournage

Les Félins - Fiche Film - La Cinémathèque française

Shooting of "Les Félins" began on October 2nd, 1963 and ended on December 7th, 1963; no scene was shot in Antibes; most were shot in Nice, some were actually shot in the Var department.
And, by the way, as for myself, its not one of Clement's best movies...

alain delon was staying while filming the movie in a residence in Antibes with Jane Fonda, there had brought his Ferrari 250 GT SWB Spyder Personal he possessed at the time, it is possible that I am wrong about the shooting dates (I do not know exactly), but not the resorts of the actors, and finally regarding the Clément and Delon association, Plein Soleil is better it's on ...

Why do you think that this car belonged to Hepburn? The photo was taken in Rome in March 1961 during a fashion shoot for Givenchy by Pierluigi Praturlon. Here's a pic from the same shoot, but in colour.

Looking closely at the pictures of the movie car and the 2935GT, the cars have completely different rear bumpers. The exhaust tips are also spaced farther apart on the movie car. The movie car also has a stop watch mounted in front of the shifter. The leather in front of the shifter of 2935GT has no holes or marks on it. It leads me to believe the two cars may not be the same.

2 cars are the same ! But subsequent owners (Paul Bouvot, R. Baillon among others) have made changes that are still visible today. You can also see a totally unusual window canopy, much larger than the original, produced at the request of P. Bouvot (who bought the car after Delon) for increased ventilation of the cockpit.Equipped with a zipper and can be rolled down.

Since everything of use has been said and several weeks remain until the auction I feel no guilt in briefly derailing this thread.

Plein soleil, one of the greatest creations of that era:)

Delon and Maurice Ronet were no strangers to fast cars from Modena, in their private lives and here in another great classic: La piscine:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GOCP_eP5cno

A Nembo spyder replica was made in the UK by the late David Barraclough (spelling?) whom I met at Silverstone in the late 80's based on a 250GTE which had been owned by Delon and left in the street in Paris. Because it was right by the guarded entrance of the Turkish Embassy it was never stolen or vandalized. Barraclough and a friend did however have a door fall off in the middle of Paris minutes after they began their journey home with it.

Hepburn didn't have a boyfriend at that time; she had a husband - Mel Ferrer. In fact, the photo was taken eight months after the birth of their first child.

If I recall correctly, it is Mr Ferrer who can be seen in the right of the photo, which is perhaps where the confusion has arisen.
