I like how Grigio Silverstone looks on the 599 GTB Fiorano. Grigio Silverstone seems to be one of the more common colors though. Tour De France Blu is also one of my personal favorites, but similar shades of blue on almost any high end car will do it for me. Rosso Monza, Rosso Rubino and Rosso Fiorano are all very rare and work well. Darker shades of colors such as the above treat this car well IMO. It really depends on your personal taste and liking.
Guys I'm new to Ferrari Chat and am currently faced with a dilemma! It's actually a quite nice dilemma. I'm looking at two 599's, one is the obvious choice Rossa Corsa with Crema stock alloys and the other is Canna De Fucile (gunmetal grey) with charcoal Daytona however this one has HGTE wheels is grey and HGTE exhaust system! Any suggestions based on your experiences would be appreciated, thanks in advance. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Rosso Corsa is a very sharp color, especially on the 599. It highlights the lines of the car and also the flying buttresses. That would be (and was) my choice. Should you still want the HGTE package, it can be added to any existing car by your local Ferrari dealer.
A while back I saw a dark green 599GTB like the one pictured been in love ever since... Image Unavailable, Please Login
I do think the verde looks pretty decent there, but I can't hang with the turquoise interior. There was a signal green 599 on the market a couple years ago with that same color interior and I just can't bring myself to like it. Anyone who knows me is going to be completely not surprised when I go with a darker metallic red, rubino, fiorano, bordeaux pontivecchio which I have, over cuoio. I consider mine the most perfect color combo for a 599 imaginable, but boy how subjective. Image Unavailable, Please Login
The CDF is a beautiful car and very nicely spec'd. CDF is uncommon, compared to Rossa Corsa...but color choice is all about personal preference. This particular CDF had 5 prior owners. In the States, that would be a red flag....doesn't mean it is bad, but clearly would warrant a much closer review. Ownership patterns may differ in the UK, but 5 owners on a 2008 car raises questions to me.
Thanks for your comments wizig, the car has a full clean bill of health and 15k was spent on the last service (1500 miles ago) in the UK owners tend to buy at reasonable prices in the Winter and use during the summer months (decent weather 6 months of the year) then sell on, however I think the 599 might become quite attachable! Thanks again, yes the CDF is a beautiful colour and definitely shows off the beautiful lines on the 599 more than Rossa Corsa. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I must admit, Bob, your car's color is my favorite. However, I believe it is "Pontevecchio" with an "e". And this thread is the definition of "subjective." The best 599 color is, obviously, in the eye of the beholder. But one could study the question statistically, looking at the numbers of each color that Ferrari produced. The typical reds and black likely lead the production numbers, but I applaud the people who ordered unusual colors that make their car unique or at least rare. Dang that Bordeaux Pontevecchio is delicious!
I believe there were 26 standard color options. About any other color was possible and called "out of range" [of what Ferrari thought was marketable]: Argento Nurburgring Metallic Avio Metallic Avorio Azzurro Metallic Bianco Avus Blu Abu Dhabi Metallic Blu Mirabeau Metallic Blu Pozzi Blu Scozia Blu Tour De France Metallic Celeste Metallic Giallo Modena Grigio Alloy Metallic Grigio Ferro Metallic Grigio Ingrid Metallic Grigio Medio Grigio Scuro Grigio Silverstone Metallic Grigio Titanio Metallic Nero Nero Daytona Metallic Out-Of-Range Paint Color Rosso Corsa Rosso Mugello Rosso Scuderia Verde Vinaccia
