Very beautiful SA Aperta:...
Here is another serial number for you. I looked through the thread and did not find it anywhere, so I will post it here. I spotted this one in Palm Beach, Florida. Anyone know what they're asking for the Azzurro California Aperta at Maserati/McLaren Beverly hills ?
I don't yet know the asking price, but I'm sure it's seven figures. It's my understanding that it only has 300 miles - but I don't have solid proof of that yet either.
Would this happen to be Ron Dennis' Aperta? I saw it in Montecito a few years ago, driven by a young man who said his father worked at Mclaren. Unfortunately I never took notice of the VIN, apologies... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Blue Chip and Competition Cars - Ferrari 599 SA Aperta For sale at DK in the UK. I wonder how much they will be asking for this? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Truly beautiful essentially brand new SA Aperta with extremely low mileage. IMHO the seller can ask anything they want. With 80 in the World and maybe a few in the UK (at best) you can ask $1.5M+++ (at least double the MSRP) and let it sit until you find a buyer who falls in love with this specific car. Although this is a SA Aperta thread IMHO the same could be said for the GTO. IMHO prices are extremely low relative to the overall F car market for the GTO. When you can buy a true collectible like a 5 year old GTO at MSRP or even at $100K over MSRP for a car with less than 5K miles on it its an amazing bargain. In 5 more years the GTO should be at least double what the MSRP was particularly for US spec GTOs.
Gentlemen can anyone shed some light on the aperta ? Is it essentially the same car as the gto (performance and aerodynamics ) but just a convertible version and very limited production ? Thks !
The SA Aperta is more akin to an HGTE GTS. It does share the GTO engine but that is essentially all that the two have in common.
I think he means it's more like the 'concept' of a GTB (closed) vs GTS (open) model. Not to be taken literally as something that Ferrari offered as a production GTS...
