Andy, Please stop posting pics of your garage - you are putting me in danger of going bankrupt by trying to match so a beautiful place
Need to find another $750,000 to finish this project. And I am on SS so this is going to take maybe six months to fund. With winter setting in the project is now a spring goal. Looks as if I will be around for a while longer. Cho is working and cancer is projected to be in total remission by the end of Nov. see other post of mine.
Thanks, I have UV film but I'm not sure it's enough, I think blinds probably make sense, will investigate. Pic attached (and the old garage - which is a converted farm building and doesn't have a light problem as there are shutters on the outside - conversion not quite finished but it's close). Pretty humble compared with most on here... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks, Dave. if you cost it out, you will find my garage is very inexpensive to replicate. But I appreciate the complement. Good luck, and get well soon, Mitchell. Bobj , you are being too humble. That's a very nice garage with plenty of character. And very nice cars! Andy
Do what they do in Europe since a lot of places still do not have AC. They have blinds on the outside of the windows. There are sensors that monitor sunlight. As the sun hits the sensors the blinds close automatically. When the sun move away the blinds open. Works very well.
Andreas, from all i've seen i would really pick your garage if i could..make me wonder how thw rest of the house looks, if you can and don't mind would like to see some pictures...
This is my place of leisure . The ceiling still needs to be done. Should have done that prior to moving all the stuff in .... . The building used to be a fire-engine place and was built around 1880. The more modern F-cars, which need minor attention between services only, are parked in the attached next garage (nothing special to see there, just walls, tiled floor and thats it). That looks absolutely perfect! I love it. I'd never want to leave (except to go for a drive maybe!). Looks like a very comfortable place but where real work gets done. Beautiful car collection too. Well done!
Thanks guys - appreciate you kind words - still don't feel that special compared with many on here - I think I might need to convert the big barn....
Like the Togo Sofas - Nice to see someone with good taste in soft furnishing as well as fine vehicles P.S. What's behind the curtain...?
Thanks, Pedro. I appreciate your saying that. But the house looks just like the garage. Just painted white walls, large windows, plain floors, and incredibly bare! People wonder how we live there! I have this photo in this iPad. Andres Image Unavailable, Please Login
Indeed a a place of leisure, Bernhard. Comfortable. And very nice cars. I can imagine spending a great deal of time there. It looked European immediately. Very neat garage, David. I'm squarely in the other half (also called the 95%). I just take good pictures (and tidy up a great deal before shooting)! Andres
