Hello fellow F- Chatters in Germany. I am in the USA and I have my first work trip to Munich from January 17 arrival and leaving the following Saturday January 25. I know it is bold of me to ask, but I have a life long dream of hitting high speeds (as a passenger) on the autobahn or do a lap around the Nordschleife. I will be staying in Munich and I have the my first weekend there to play and and see the town. Is there anybody out there who would be willing to give me a ride? (Does not have to be a Ferrari). I am very willing to travel on a train to meet you.

I have my 308GT4 out here near San Francisco in California and willing to exchange a Pacific Coast Highway ride if you ever make it my way.

    Cheers,
    Spencer

    Cheers Spencer,

I`m always in for some fun. Have done this a couple of times with other fchatters from all around the world.
But....... its sadly WINTER all over Germany!!!
    - almost every sports car is deregistered between Ocotber - May
    - rest is driving on winter-tyres
    - most winter tyres are restricted on top speed
    - its f***** cold - 10 C (14 degrees)
    - Autobahn is wet and full of salt
    - We accept snow for January
    - Usual lots of snow in South Germany, Bavaria - Munich
    - Nürburgring-Nordschleife could be closed cause of weather conditions

Wish we would have the CA weather here.

Come back in May - September for + 300 km/h ride.

Cheers & Happy New Year from cold & frozen Germany to sunny Cali

As Wolfgang says, most of the cars are in the garage for now unfortunately. However I do still have my v10 r8 out and about through the winter. I'd be more than happy to take anyone for some fun on the autobahn or anywhere else. The biggest problem may be that you come in less than a week and I'm. 450 km from Munich....

I too have a Munich trip this April, my first time in Germany. Like sltillim, I've long dreamt of driving the 'ring so I booked a 'tourist ride" in a Toyota 86. Is Landstuhl near the Nurburgring? Would love the opportunity to ride a supercar like your R8.

Thanks wolfgang. I sure hope they won't give me a rain check come April 19, which is when I get to do my Nurb drive. Are you by chance based in Munich?

My home base is in Heidelberg.
    Heidelberg - Nürburgring 215km / 133 miles
    Heidelberg - München 331km / 205 miles

But the famous Hockenheim F1 race track is only 6 miles away from my house.
TBH, I prefer the Hockenheim Ring. Its a very fast & save track.

Enjoy your drive & take care!

Wolfgang. I am actually in Landstuhl. With L. I am dead center between both rings you mention:). I can be at either in about an hour.

Let me know as it gets closer to 19 April. If it is good to go and I will see with my schedule if I can come. Spring is never predictable but I can always bring the R8 or if weather is good maybe the 458 would be a good time.

Will do. So generous of you! It would be super to experience the ring in an R8 and all the more so in a 458.
