You gotta love Canadians who own C4s. Here is 15183 also tucked away for winter. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Here's a couple of pictures of my Dad's two C4s. Sorry I don't have chassis numbers to hand. Red (Rosso St Iver) is Euro LHD and Blue is UK RHD. The red one has done 20,000 plus miles since Dad brought it in 2005/6, and is one of Dad's favourite Ferraris of the many he has owned. The wheels are from a Queen Mary before anyone asks. Dad prefers the look of them. The original Cromadoras are tucked away in the garage. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Jeff, was it by chance Silver? Bill Kotlar of Rancho Cucamonga, CA was the second owner of my C/4 (S/N 15661) and I have his track day record at Riverside from Saturday, March 5, 1977 (see attached picture). I've also got the raceway info sheet, track map, a Ferrari Owners Club tech inspection guidelines handout and an FOC article titled "Once Around Riverside" by Bob Bondurant dated Oct 28, 1976. Curious if any of that rang a bell for you. I've had trouble locating the guy, not sure if he is still around. I've seen his name connected to antiques so maybe it is the same gentleman. I would love to be able to get in touch with him. Image Unavailable, Please Login
There's many good looking C/4's here but it appears that very few get to the track. It was nice to see someone in Canada cleaning out the carbon. 15319 came into Algar back in the 70's and I picked it up in 96 with minor maintenance problems. I have no knowledge of the prior owners but this car has provided my wife and I with tons of fun. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I'm not getting to the track but next week #14503 is running the New England 1000. I post when I get back on how we all preformed. Joe
There is a C4 for sale here in São Paulo, it's dark blue with wire wheels. I don't know the S/N, but I think it's part of a collection that also had a Dino and a 365 BB. http://www.webmotors.com.br/comprar/ferrari/365-gtb/4-3-4-daytona-12v-24v-gasolina-2p-manual/2-portas/1973-1974/8794919
$247K US asking price. Hope he gets every penny. The one pic I was able to locate shows a lovely example.
Yes, we do have to deal with mega price inflation. It's been for sale for a long long time though, and hasn't budged. A red one was offered a while ago for less and sold fairly quickly. The BB is offered at around 400k in dollars. The Dino was 450k if I recall correctly. Crazy money. Double those values and you'll know what it costs to someone here to own these cars. Unfortunately brazilian salaries aren't doubled, too. Do the math on how relatively expensive they are for the average Brazilian and you'll understand why Brazil isn't exactly vintage Ferrari land. These prices are obviously not in any way representative of the market for these cars, but if sales here of the very few that exist went public they would bring the averages up by a bit, for sure.
Interesting compilation of C/4's for sale from the GTC/4 website. A Seller's Market at the moment - Wanted - Ferrari 365 GTC/4 Forum
That is a list that someone compiled in 2011. Those are surely all gone. He's contrasting that with the fact that there are very few today on the market currently.
I would appreciate any information on prior history if it's out there. Tks.. Ops, my posting was on previous page, I thought I could edit it in.
Hi, Thanks for that.. They just had the 3 cars that are available currently. There is the Blue on Black #16005 at Indigo, The gray on black at the auction next month, and David's Red on Black..
Hey Craig, So sorry.. I have to be in Burbank at 8am in the morning tomorrow, but I can get over to you on Friday morning?
Saw a RHD GTC/4 in central London yesterday painted Argento with rear bumper removed and holes filled......OK, incorrect but totally transformed car.....Stunning.....Didnt have a chance to take a photo but if owner on FC please post one.
I remember seeing it at the Bonhams Gstaad sale. Looked stunning then (nicest car in that catalogue). Good luck with the sale
