Ok - let me say that IMHO, this car is fantastic looking. The poor Veneno got visually spanked and hasn't even turned a wheel in anger. A big improvement on the Enzo, IMHO.

With respect to the name - I like it. It's a little feminine - I may have considered "Il Ferrari", but you can see the problem with that (e.g., "Ill Ferrari" or "Il Duce" doesn't conjure up exotic images).

But to call it "The Ferrari" is really something. Personally, anything beyond "Enzo" is pushing it because the founder is Ferrari. Maybe "Enzo 2013" or "Enzo II" could have been used, but I really think "La Ferrari" is on point.

Bravo. Every time I think the company can't outdo itself, it does. Again, just my opinion, but having seen the teaser video, listened to the audio on it - this car is an absolute grand slam. Just brilliant.

Car looks good, but I am confused with the emotional difference between the front and the side views.

Side profile is very feminine, front fascia is very masculine and almost race car-ish mental, esp with the doors up. Don't understand why the anger and energy weren't carried through to the rest of the car.

Looking forward to full disclosure of performance figures...

Can we just call it the LF? Terrible name.

I was expecting to be a little more "wowed" after we saw the other companies offerings... Performance is amazing, rear quarter makes the rim size look about 15 inch.

I have to say that this picture isn't very flattering. The black part in front of the windscreen looks a bit off and the ride height looks larger than the on the official pictures. But the Geneva video does seems fine so I'll put it on a bad picture angle.

ToolFan, i was wondering if the TopGear pics give away the record is trying to break. Setting the TopGear record right now would mean the Ferrari will be on top for quite a while since all hypercars are out there and there probably won't be revealed any new one soon.

    "LaFerrari" ?!?

I just can't get past that name!!
I've never really cared what a car was named before.
Mclaren E=MC^2 or whatever is fine, as long as it's a cool car.

    But "LaFerrari", REALLY?!?
That has got to be the worst name ever!

That name effectively adjusts it's horsepower down to 138 and 0-60 time up to 23 seconds.

    Shameful Luca!!!

I agree with most here. The car is beautiful... well done to the designers. My only nit-pick is that I think the double exit on the hood looks cheap... and I don't like the break in the rear lines for the license plate. But over all, I love it. ESPECIALLY love all the active aero as demonstrated in the video.

Oh, and I also hate the name. It's really horrible.

It is better than the Veneno, but you could switch the badges and either one could pass for a Lambo or Ferrari. Both look like they're trying too hard to be poster cars.

Porsche got it right this time.

Ok, I take back my initial comment on not liking the rear quarter panels. In the initial pictures you couldn't see the lines too well at all with the way the light was catching that area, hence the negative comments. After these pics, I love it!

it was said that the name of the owner is on the steering wheel and the flag of the owner's nationality somewhere else in the cockpit.

Only just broken from a meeting to see the images, but at first glance love it, albeit too much frontal 458 DNA. Reflections to come.

Having scanned through the thread my big question is Where's Napolis? Be interesting to get his take especially on perfromance and to me it looks like it is going to be pushing the Macca.

When I first look at LaFerrari, the front confused me....But when I look at the hand draft on the web special, I understand everything!! The proportion of the front is just ruined by the engineers.....Besides, the hand-draft wheels looks much more futuristic. For the first time of in-house design, Ferrari did a great job!! Let them run longer and we will see more classic but modern supercars!!

P.S. Ferrari Engineering never let us down, but the name just cool down our passion...Just my two cents.

    in my opinion.
the styling is over the top its like modified 458. rear is good rest of it not so much.

when you compare it to 918 this thing (laferrari wtf) is hideous.
enzo is miles ahead of this in appearance.

    of the new hypercars apperance
    918 > p1 > laferrari

only thing that is insanely impressive is the performance which is absurd.
0-300 under 15 seconds is crazy.
