Well, it would not surprise me. It's one of the most desirable dual purpose Ferrari. If 250 LWB Cal spyders are nearing that mark, surely a 250 SWB comp should be up there aswell.

Is the $175K hammer or with the auction $? It was an early SII no AC or PS.

Aston Martin DB5 and V12 E Type were good buys. The Ferrari GTCs were the surprise for me.

Agree.Do you know RM's 60 DB4, lot 123, hammered for? Both the DB5 and DB4 needed some work/restoration to be solid drivers.

I was surprised the Enzo only sold for 1.2ish.

For the DB5, they announced the engine serial number was different that was stated in catalog. I am not sure if that meant the car is not numbers matching. In my mind, the car needed about 200K to get to near concours status. Restoration seemed ad hoc and not to factory standard. But car looked solid. Think hammered for "only" 375K.

DB5 was not matching numbers among other things.

Incredible that the LWB California Spyder at Gooding sold more than an immaculate 250 SWB Comp car. Wow. I suppose I have to agree with Mr Saran that the car hit a reasonable value, despite breaking the record...

hmmmm...why don`t you say for how much they crossed the block? Your post was not very substantial. Seems that you know the sales prices, or...?

    Just wow.

It'll be interesting to see which continent the various cars will end up on.

Half a million Dollars for a Dino seems insane, no matter how nice they are.

I don't understand the value of Daytona's lagging like they do. Is it a flavor of the week (year) thing?

It seems to be the chairs and flaired GTS' that are commanding the silly money. A 246GT isn't Daytona money yet but inevitably will be dragged up if this continues.

The DB 5 at RM was a good buy. The DB 5 at Gooding set a new world record for a DB5 (normal version). You see once again quality probably played a huge role. Gooding's DB 5 was nearly $800'000 including commission which was a very very strong price. Not all DB 5 are created equal.

    Pretty frothy results.

So GTCs and Dinos are worth more than Daytonas now??
