    This car was originally delivered to France so it has white turn signals, and yellow driving lights, which is the normal setup for France.

    The Ferrari factory build (Chassis number) plate lists the name and address of the French Ferrari distributor, Charles Pozzi, so I am fairly sure. The VIN number on the Ferrari factory VIN plate also confirms this. Do you have different information?

    Maybe I misunderstood you. When I received this car it was wearing these front lenses.

    Thats what I thought. A while back someone told me it had been changed back to the 400i clear/amber lens but I doubted that claim.
    Thanks for the info

    I have been searching around after your comment and I have found a few references to Ferraris being delivered in France with clear turn signal lenses. This lines up with my own observations in Europe. Does anyone else have any feedback on this?

    Never noticed that emblem on the grille before Bruce. Has it always been there and I just missed it?

    Some serious tending needed on those tangled up FI lines @ distributor & bent up lines @ injectors.

    No Dave, I added the cavallino. Being that these F-cars are the most expensive longest running series production model in all of F's history, I could never figure out why the 400's never had them. The 365's & 412 did, I think somebody was asleep @ the wheel. :mad:

    When I bought my 84 400i 5 speed it came with the same badge too. I thought it was original! I like it though

    It wasn't original but I actually thought it looked pretty good on Bruce's car

    It was so Brigate Rosse members wouldn't recognize a capitalist pig needing a knee-capping in their rear view mirrors. By the time they saw the logos on the rear of the car it was too late.

    Thanks, I think the 400's measure up to it 'for sure'. :) :cool:

    LOL :D

    Hey Aidan;

    I bought it from Daniel @ RicambiAmerica, I so much wanted to mount the sculpted version but it's not correct for the period. I think it's time for all of us to make this improvement on the model. ;) B.

    If we all put it on our cars we could call it "the Bruce" or we could say the car had been "Bruced" or even say "that is one of the 400i "b" models" :D

    That's a good example of a "Lambda" system being added/cobbled on ;) -- note the frequency valve and plumbing just in front of the forwardmost oil filter (placed in the return lines from the WURs to alter the control pressure):

    Anyone notice in Steve's pic that he posted that the driver's side intake conveyor is indented & the other isn't? I've noticed the indented ones on the 412's & figured that was part of the FI remapping /air flow dynamics improvement to bring the HP back to 340. Was it because one was replaced or did Maranello release it that way on this particular car?
    Matter of fact, I discovered that I had a vacuum leak where the vacuum valve return hose connects to the underside of the driver's side conveyor (probably from someone yanking the conveyor off unaware of it). I saw that Eurospares had 'new' ones in stock for each side so I ordered a pair only to receive a new 'indented' one for the driver's side & a used 'unindented' for the other side. I don't know, :( it doesn't seem or look right that way.
