    Marcel,
Looking at the various postings you seem to have a very accourate database.
Could you please tell us how many RHD and LHD C/4's there really were. I have seen lots of different numbers but don't know what to believe.
And from a selfish perspective, how many were Verde Pino Met?

I count 42 RHD C/4s (31 of which were made for the UK). And I count four Verde Pino C/4s, one of which is a repaint. I'm interested to see how close my information is to Marcel's information.

15659 is owned since 1992 by a German from Munich, who also has a house in the Swiss mountains.
It is NOT Verde Pino. 15659 was born Blu Ortis 95.3.6159 with Beige VM 3234 and is an US version new to Chinetti-Garthwaite. Later repainted black, then repainted navy blue, then green.

Ah thanks Marcel, even though I am not very good at telling the nuances between similar colors this time I did feel this one seemed a bit off...and if it wasn't even its original color then never mind...

Here is another, at Rardley Motors in the UK with Mike Wheeler a good guy (I am not involved with this or any other car there) not original color either but very nice current shade.

    http://www.rardleymotors.com/docs/cars/show.php?id=141&p=30&page=1&srt=model_year ASC

They also have a silver car but that in my humble opinion is a hohum color.

I was going through my files and found these two photos I took in 1980. At the time I was working at Hughes Aircraft Co. in California, and as a young engineer who was interested in cars, found out that one of the Senior Scientists in the company owned a 365 GTC/4. His name was Gino Sturiale, and the story was that some years prior he had won the highest award within the company for a patent he was granted - as I recall the award was the Pat Highland award (named for the company's President), and the patent was for the design of the Maverick missile seeker. The monetary compensation for this award was substantial, and he used it to purchase the C/4. Talk about a guy with the right priorities!

When I introduced myself to him, it turned out that his desire to have some photos of his car matched my interest in photography. We went out onto the famous Mulholland Highway (not Mulholland Drive) one Saturday morning and did a photo shoot. Unfortunately (for me) he got to keep the negatives, so all I have is these two prints.

The most interesting thing about the car was the color. It changed depending on the light and angle it was viewed at, looking pale yellow from one direction, and a very light chartreuse from another. When I asked him about the color he indicated that when he bought the car (which I recall - remember this is over 30 years ago - was as a new car) he didn't have many colors to choose from that were available at the time, and he took it thinking that he wasn't going to like it. When he received the car he took a liking to it, and decided to keep it the way it was.

So - anybody ever heard of this one? Thoughts on the originality of the color? I've certainly never seen another one like it, and if it's not original I wouldn't be surprised - after all, it has been 30 years and I was pretty much in shock the whole day I got to photograph the car...

Thanks for the response, Marcel. Unfortunate about the repaint - it was such an interesting color. Are there any other known examples of cars originally done in Giallo My Swallow?

    Thanks again.

Two in total in this color originally.
The other is 15203. This one was later also repainted, into gunmetal gray.

There is one here in Toronto , same family owned since 1981 - its in the ferrari adds, very clean car, older restore in the mid nineties, excellent rebuild on the engine and suspension, but it's in that realse red / tan .... The car is pretty solid, with great pedigree, I passed on it because it's not in original color with interior, but otherwise very pretty and drives very strong, gotta love the c4 , so under ated this car.... Too bad.

Wow, this sounds like an interesting color. Does anything exist in todays world with this same color so we can imagine how it would look?
