Just bought my first Ferrari as a present to me for becoming SEVENTY -- a glorius giallo F355 F1 spider. It doesn't matter when you do it -- just, if you do it!

I have been dreaming of having a ferrari since I was 6 y/o and I saw the first ferrari. this was back in 1974 ..... i am a high school drop out turned entrepreneur and at 40 for my birthday about 3 years ago i signed a check in exchange for my F355
so if you want a ferrari it is only up to you.

Sometimes I wish I could flip a switch and make my 355 go from yellow to red.

Permanently? Or the hypothetical choice of switching back and forth.... ;) I want one!!

I often think I might prefer mine in yellow rather than red!

It matches almost perfectly to my 2001 Saturn SC2 daily driver. My neighbors often ponder what's wrong with me. I prefer Yellow. But on occasions it would be cool to be traditional Red. Maybe in the future cars will change color at the flip of a switch. Color is just a certain wavelength of reflected light. Blue would be my 3rd choice. I like that TDF Blue.

    A couple of things:

    1. I saw my first Ferrari in real life when I was 7. A black 328 GTS with tan interior.
    2. The F355 came out when I was in high school. Agreed. 1 of the most beautiful cars ever.
    3. The 458 Italia is probably #1 or #2 for me.

Its really difficult to rank. Aston Martin makes beautifully well proportioned cars, the DBS Volante. Seriously. The Porsche Carrera GT. Insane.

I was never a fan of the 360 or the 430. Agreed.

As far as your comment about never owning one. I don't know where that's coming from. Work you tail off. Make a pile. Go buy it. If you want something, you can generally find a way to get it (legally) if you're creative, industrious and diligent.

It's doable, if you don't spend your $$ stupidly. I just put a deposit down on a 355, and I'm only 27. When I was young it never crossed my mind that I would be able to do it, but my parents instilled in me the belief that if I wanted something go work hard and see what you can do to get it.

Like the saying goes, "you can have anything you want...just not *everything* you want". Sure there's a fair amount of hyperbole there, but making a blanket statement like you won't ever is a bit silly.

You never know what path your life will wind down...

Although the new 458Spider looks pretty amazing with similar Buttress Wings and engine hood to 355 and even 246 Dino.

My that yellow 355 looks stunningly beautiful.

    I wouldn't mind one of each! :D
Is it the angle of the photo or is the 355 that much smaller than both the 430 and 458?
Did anyone notice that the blacked out portion on the front of the 458 kind of looks like the 355 black portion stretched out?
