As it appears there are many Fchatters in Switzerland - but most of them post in model-dedicated sections, so I thought of making a thread where we would chat in English (many expats, three languages) about cars, Ferraris, and not only. I've sent a couple of PMs, didn't find a Swiss topic yet (Simon?), and everybody was pretty much enthousiastic about the idea. So let's make it rolling.

I will start with what happened to me today, thought of making a thread for that in Silver or Vintage, but decided to leave it for here.

    > A busy street of a small city center in the Lake Geneva/Lac Léman area: an older guy in a Ferrari 250GT california parks down the street. Takes his dog, his cell phone, the keys, steps out of the car and goes somewhere around the corner/disappears from my sight. He left a $4 million car open, windows down, with all his stuff inside. ;) Jaw dropping.

On the other side, who's in the Geneva Lake area?

Hi Michal. Great idea for a thread.

Was anyone at Sempach over the weekend? I planned to go but when Sunday morning rolled around we decided to have a more relaxed day.

I'll try to post the pics of that 250 California LWB I saw.

    How was Sempach?

Hi Ivo thanks for the pictures. What time were you there and when did most of the cars leave? It seemed to start quite early and I didn't really fancy the rush on a Sunday morning. It would have taken me about 1.5 hours to get there.

If you have a picture of the LWB that would be great Michal

400 LM? I guess... Would be lovely if Ross had time to join at the next one.

Ferrari Suisse used to be located in Nyon, or is it still?

Any one go to the Zurich Auto Salon? I was tempted to go have a look at the 458 Spider this weekend but then other things cropped up and I didn't make it.

Yes, as far as I know, Ferrari Suisse are still in Nyon.

sorry guys, just noticed this thread! good idea. we should see if rob can turn it into a separate sub section like they have for france and spain.
i drove the f40 from geneva to lausanne and back on sunday evening - it was dry and warm and it needed to move a bit, wish i had known about the cars and coffee so i could have joined in. maybe next time - altho for the next few months ski season will likely make that impossible
anyway, good to know this is here - could be a good way to help each other out.

    Simon, not going this year.

Ross, there was one on sunday morning (6.11) in Nyon as usual. Few attendees - I didn't manage to wake up.

It's not the fact members are missing, it's more they are all dispatched around different sections and are not aware of this thread.
On the other hand, many of swiss Fchat members are also ferrari owners, so, we could gain some proper momentum at one point or another, just a matter of making them aware of this here.

Thick fog here over the last week or 2, can't even find the garages let alone drive the cars. ;)

For those who haven't gone yet, the Ferrari Exhibition at the Pantheon in Basel/Muttenz is really worth a visit, especially on a grey week-end day. Model line-up on display is a bit all over the place, but with a 250GTO, a 250MM, a 312P among 38 cars, plenty of eye candy !

The 360 CS with license plate VD 360430 with lexan windows and GT Wing had a very hard crash in Portugal

The owner was a portuguese guy who was working in Switzerland and crashed the CS and run away because he was alcoholized

Nice photos, thanks. Is that a 330GTC or a 365GTC?

Hi ... moved into the Vaud area last year and picked up a 360f1 spider (nero) in August ... have been to the meet in Nyon a few times and never found anyone that speaks english. Anyone still living in the area - can see that the posts are pretty old

Maybe I was just unlucky ... I arrived to one of the meets quite early and there were a couple of guys with Evos and one with a crazy nos'd up Mustang who didn't appear to speak english .... only time I met some of the english speaking guys was in Nov when the McLaren was present.

I keep seeing a beautiful rosso ferrari 348 driving through Nyon and the guy always waves but not had the opportunity to chat etc.

Are you planning to attend the meet at the beginnig of Feb?
