Shamile...now that I have your attention...and a little off subject...how the devil did you remove the side panel where those trunk latch cables run thru? Where is the access?

    Dear Ferraristi,

Bawhahahaha......did I leave my Lamborghini there?

    ...don't be a hata....cause I'm a playa...

    ....cause....

    "When the doors go up.....

    .....the panties go down"

    ....see positive proof! :D

    OK...you've got my attention...

To pull the side panel to access the emergency cable and route the new cable through...

First, pull the OEM door seal (haha...TR forum joke :D ) slowly away from the handbrake pull release area all the way up the door just where the quarter window starts.

Just above the trim that goes across the package shelf is a little quarter trim piece. It's only held by the leather wrapping around the door edge (clamped down by the door seal) Once you remove that you will see two screw mounts....undo.

    Don't pull just yet....

Just above the door, you will see the mouse belt track leather cover. Where the track cover meets the quarter leather cover ( upper part of door window edge) pull it forward. It's held by plastic push pins....slowly!

You do not need to remove the whole trim...just around the quarter window area. Once you pull the push pins off, lift slightly and you will see a tab come out of the leather panel just under the quarter window. This will expose the third and final mounting screw.

Once the screws are out, pry the panel sideways ( towards the passenger side but stay straight... do not pull out towards the front of the car. On that panel is a little rectangular trim panel that sits under the quarter window. This piece is attached to the main panel you are trying to remove. Once it clears the mouse track, you can then pull forward and out.

    There you go...panel removed. :D

...one tall thin blonde (max 23) please....

If I had known earlier, I would have taken a bunch of photos and do a thread on it.

....I just didn't think of it.

Just cleaned the injector holders and replaced all the 'O' rings on mine Shamile. New circlips arrived today. Just waiting for the new wrinkle paint to arrive from Germany via Austria :) and I will paint all the inlet components.

I will let you all know how this new paint works out. Its only 6 euros a can. I will be a happy camper if this has the right colour and wrinkle depth. :D

    Dear Ferraristi,

I spoke to Dave yesterday. He's still waiting on his shipment to come in. The only o rings I'm replacing are the 2 per fuel distributor head.

Hmm....I didn't think about the O rings on the injectors or the circlips. My circlips are looking a little oxidized...hmmm....while I'm in there....I guess.

You should continue your old thread Phill for the updates you speak of....we'd all be interested in the progress.

    Dear Ferraristi,

    ....more cleaning...

Oooh....look what arrived in the mail...

Big Thanks to Mike Patterson and all the guys at www.norwoodperformance.com (972)831-8111 in Dallas TX

...yes, same Testarossa Twin turbo / EFI fuel injector folks.

I remembered them from my old Road & Track magazines and a couple of threads here. I figured since they did all those EFI conversions on the Testarossa, they would probably be able to help me out on a Bosch fuel distributor meter unit. Well...they came though with flying colors and just sold me what I needed. I only bought the meter body with the side module. I didn't have to buy the whole assembly.

    ...thanks guys ! :)

    Dear Ferraristi,

    Hey Robbie,

....no, it was definitely the aluminum thread from the starter housing giving way. Since one went, I decided to do inserts on all three.

Nice work Shamile, just make sure the lock fluid is completely dry before you bolt the starter on or you may not ever get it back off again.

Shamwow, there are so many jokes about 'expensive nuts' I don't even know where to start!

I found mine weren't tall enough to really snug the fuel rail since the bare 'sleeve' was too high on a couple of mine. (Stripped one.) Replaced fuel injector o-rings, got taller acorn nuts. Of course, one more wave washer might do it too.

    Great work . Looking excellent.

    Dear Ferraristi,

Oh...yeah! Yellow nylocks on my Ferrari....better than " I just turned 18" ...umm....well, not really better than that.... :D

OK...start reassembling the fuel distribution system...

    1. brush and clean the threads to death.

    2. before the gaskets go down, make sure the surface is super clean and free of any grease and oil

    3. apply anitseize....

    Dear Ferraristi,

    haha.....great minds think alike... :D

On the acorn nuts, there are 2 OEM sizes. Are you sure you bought the right one? The OEM Ferrari acorn nuts are the ONLY ones with the nylock inside in both the taller and shorter version.

For the bellhousing cover plate, the smaller ones were called for.
