Can't believe Ferrari is charging 428 Euros for this part when it's $12.49 at Napa. I am using it right now and it's an exact fit. To all you Europeans. I'll gladly buy some for you and sell them at 50 EURO each incl. shipping Just kidding. Go online and buy them yourself. Kai
I'm a Ferrari Chat newbee. I have a 1994 348 Spider. At my first log on to the site I was blown away by the 16 pages of parts interchange info. Has anyone put this into some form of spreadsheet? If not, this will become my Winter project. I am interested in both original parts substitutions as well as other non-stock aftermarket products that AFFORDABLY repair or improve specific 348 service problems. For example: TOOL BOX- I have a cool wooden tool box that fits perfectly and looks great. My car came without the factory tool box and this one is very tasteful looking and cost me $12.99 at Home Depot. STICKY CONSOLE PARTS- I've cleaned and repainted the the dash vents, the door handles, and the mirror wings myself. The console parts didn't turn out very well so I am looking at billet aluminum replacement parts that include cup holders and 12V power source. Squadra Nuvolari is offering them in a variety of surface finishes (polished aluminum, flat black, carbon fiber look, etc.). If I end up compiling the spreadsheet, I will make two columns. One for stock equivalence and one for aftermarket modifications (that offer cost or feature benefits). Can I get a reaction from the group about the interest in the aftermarket modification list? Thx. Mario
You can add my Dodge Neon vapor canister to the non-stock list. Actually, come to think of it there is really three categories: one for stock parts, but cheaper sourced. one for direct replacements for stock parts, but not the stock part manufacturer, e.g. Walker O2 sensors. (better or cheaper or both!), and one for non-stock parts like the dash pieces and my vapor canister.
Great stuff but I find nothing at the Bosch web site based on the part number. Can you give us a bit more info? Thanks in advance. Randall
Nope, and it would be fantastic if you did Mario. One more thing. Welcome to Ferrarichat, and welcome to the 348 Brotherhood. Looking forward to seeing the spread sheet.
Ernie Thanks for the welcoming. It looks like you and 3 other contributors have been the most frequent contributors to the parts interchange question. Specifically, NO DOUBT, RANDYLEE PUBLIC and PAP 348 have put up lots of ideas. I haven't heard back from any of them on whether they have compiled any spreadsheet on the topic. Do I presume that they have seen the question on ferrari chat or do I need to contact them more directly? This is my first experience with a chat processes vs. direct emailing. Sorry for the naivety of this question, but I'm not sure if I reached them. What do you advise? Thx. Mario What's
Please see this post: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showpost.php?p=140003185&postcount=305 I didn't say I thought that the spreadsheet is a great idea. That's because the fact that it is a great idea is so obvious that I didn't want to appear thick by belaboring it. It's a great idea! Please carry on. At least in this neighborhood of the board, the spirit is very much "get in where you fit in". In other words if you have an idea that you think will help us with keeping our babies running, just do it. Even if by some wild stretch what you did was "out of line" or whatever, somebody would just tell you so, but nobody would fault you for taking initiative. As far as PMing, if you want to communicate, go ahead. We don't stand on ceremony - we just try to keep the ball and our F-cars rolling, and we can all, with a few exceptions, (you know who you are!), use all the help we can get. Dig in! Best regards,
Somebody should get this! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140476262182&viewitem=&sspagename=ADME:B:SS:US:1123 Good luck! If it fit my mondial you'd have never seen it here!

If you are having a problem with you speedometer being off the guys at www.12oclocklabs.com have come up with a device that allows you to correct for any variance. The parts needed are the SpeedoDRD and the FBUF. Ask for Brooks at (937)719-1518. For installation notes see the following thread http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=303123
To the brotherhood: The attached spreadsheet summarizes 4 years and 16 pages from many contributors to the question of 348 parts interchangeability. I hope you find it to be a convenient refernce tool. My disclaimers: I categotized the items in the Ferrari Manual groupings I include the core info and when it was posted so you can see the original I have no idea if the postings this is based on are correct or current Enjoy. Gotta take a cocktail break. My eyes are blurry now. 4MARIO Image Unavailable, Please Login
OUTSTANDING Mario! That is a kickass spread sheet! Thanks for taking the time and effort to put that together.
XSV348 I'll do a 355 spreadsheet if you (or other 355 brotherhood buddies) can arrange a 355 loaner for a week.... Delivery in Sarasota area. Mario
