I would be ASTOUNDED if the 348 timing belt fits anything else.
Well I spoke with a spare parts dealer in Uk and he had informed me that there are 3 types of timing belts available Gates, Deso and another one. So if I get the code I will be able to figure out where else does it fit (dont want to order from UK just to find out a code) and I want a fresh belt and not old stock from pre 2000 For my service this year (parts I already have) -Spark plugs My local spare parts store Iridium 50€ 8pcs -belt 1 (GATES 5PK865) 10€ -belt 2 (GATES 5PK738 and 58344) 10€ -Oil (selenia racing) 100€ -Gear box oil (motul competition) 60€ -Antifreze (paraflu-gasket friendly) 10€ -Brake fluid (Ap-racing 551) 40€ -Oil filter (Iveco daily van old model) 8€ Air filter I have KN (only cleaning required) So the only thing missing is Timing belt and than I am good for this year. Cheers
The timing belt is the water pump belt on the 348. The 348 uses the smooth back side of the otherwise toothed timing belt to run the water pump. I would suggest that you order the 30k service kit from Ricambi to insure that you obtain all correct parts for your major service. It's not much money and that's not an area to skimp.
whoops I know that there are 2 belts beside timing (AC, alternator not water pump) My mistake (forgot what are they for as it passed 4 years since belts were replaced. Thanx for the remind Anyway codes are for sure correct (I used the same ones last time and they are 100%fit)
Hey guys, Could we just keep this thread strictly a parts thread? Because if it gets full of questions and answers it will become much harder to find part numbers when you are looking for them. I think it will benefit us all if we keep the thread free from other conversations.
I forgot the name of the place where they sell aftermarket 348 front bumpers in plastic instead of fiberglass. Anyone know who sells these?
I thought mine was glass too as it looks to be coated however there was a small rub spot on mine at the corner and I could see it's aluminium on the inside. Thought mine had been swapped out too until I saw the rub spot and could verify.

Plastic? No, but Ferrari Service of Costa Mesa claims they have repro fiberglass ones. http://www.ferrariservice.com/ No idea to the quality and fit....
Mark, the god of Ferrari, Eberhardt recently discovered a great source for head gaskets. Read his post here http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showpost.php?p=138858220&postcount=2612 I asked for contact info, and will post as I acquire.
Dang! The parts thread finally gets a sticky! Sweet. (Only now I am even more embarrassed about some of my more rambling posts - oops.) Anyway, somebody from the board put a link to a guy who has a business making high tech upgrade electronic modules for Italian cars. I checked his site out, really liked what I saw, and wrote him to say so. As so far his stuff is all specifically designed for the Pantera I encouraged him to get on board with the 348 crew, as in my opinion, we (well, my t makes me an honorary member, no) represent the most active do-it-yourselfers of all Ferrari owners - the group most demanding of drivability from their Ferraris. I am hoping that the brotherhood will check out his stuff and post up a bunch of wants, opinions, and interest so that he will start making his kind of cool stuff for 348s / ts. Right off the top, he has a radiator fan controller that is way high tech compared to the lo-tech on and off relays our cars come with. That controller could end up being a key component in a comprehensive re-engineering of the 348's cooling system to take best advantage of Evans waterless coolant. Also he has a window module that eliminates all the high current flowing through the labyrinth of switch wiring, plus gives you one touch up and down, (which I love!). You get the idea. So I started a thread where we can put down our interest, opinions and suggestions. I hope you guys will weigh in... http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=253883 Here'e his current site. Looking forward to seeing it all plastered with cool pictures of 348s! http://www.pantera-electronics.com/

My employer is an authorized Bosch retailer so if any of you are ever unable to locate a replacement part using the Bosch part # that is stamped on your original part, let me know what the part # is and I will be happy to contact Bosch to see if the part has been superceded to a new Bosch part #. I just did this for another Ferrarichat member today. Bosch relay part# 0332015013 has been superceded to 0332015006.
We need a new source for 348 brake rotors (especially front ones). All of the links that No Doubt listed no longer carry them. Thanks!

Mondial T starter motor? http://www.partsgeek.com/catalog/1989/ferrari/mondial_t/engine_electrical/starter.html
Hi all, I purchased my 1995 348 Spider a little over a month ago and I jam just sorting out the kinks. I noticed the light on the door lock button was not lighing at night so I decided to fix this today. I had redone the upper center console and thought the same bulbs in there would be the same for the Door Lock and Door opem and gas latch button. I took it all aprt very carefully and found that they are different bulbs that are these hard wired onto the connection board. So I called Pep Boys and they said good luck, they have nothing, I then went over to my local Radio Shack and started to sort thru drawers of bulbs and low and behold I found the exact bulb. Its part# 272-1092 pk2 12V microlamps at ready,, are you sure Heres you go $ 1.89 for 2 I went home an unsoldered the bad bulb and soldered in the new and it works and looks great. So if anyone has a bulb out in there the center dash window or gas door release butttons this bulb is the exact replacement Good Luck
Does anyone have a source for 355 wheel bearing (pn# 157900 rear and 142882 front) http://www.ricambiamerica.com/product_info.php?products_id=199587 http://www.ricambiamerica.com/product_info.php?products_id=203794 Ferrari now wants over 2000.00 for either bearing assembly. only 3 months ago paid 626.00. can`t understand why so much. Regards, Jim
Try Applied Industrial Jim. I have had pretty good success with these guys. http://www.appliedindustrial.com/site.cfm/bearings_new.cfm?WT.ac=Bearings_Home Though you may have to find a way to press the old bearing out.
