Quite right, Oscar! Time and again I am amazed of how good, for instance, 2-tone colour-schemes work on these cars. As an aside: Maybe it is time that we start one like this about the Touring-bodied cars?
Most of the Vignale Ferraris seem to have been designed by Michelotti, but not all. What I have always wondered is how he could have done so many striking or downright beautiful casr in the 1950s, yet much of what he did in the 1960s and 1970s is just plain ugly.
Please note the modern added cupholders on the interior......Pictures taken at the Tour Auto 2008, and yes, Vignale did some ugly cars in the 60's and 70's, but I think it is very hard to stay ahead in design for such a long time. Comming up with new lines and trends is not easy for 20-30 years. ciao Oscar Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Marcel...thanks for posting the photo of Fred Herdeen at the Bridge. A lot of great memories. If I am correct, Fred has just completed a relatively fast right turn leading to an uphill blind left...I have made many promises to be good entering that turn. Fred was a true gentleman. Joel

If the owner wants to drive this impressive car he need to correct the RAKE ADJUSTMENT and WIPERARM pressure. Its only a hobby here. ciao Cornelis
The photo is only staged, the wheels weren't even attached yet...........just wait and see! Marcel Massini

Going through my old pix, I found these, which certainly appear to be of a Vignale. Sorry, no exterior shots. Any ideas, anyone? No idea who took them, or where. 1977. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Here are some pictures of a black/green Vignale bodied car that underwent a total resto from Paul Russell and was at the Castle Hills Event in 2002 at the Crane's Estate in Massachusetts. This was a very, very nice color combination, and a very fluid body design. The chrome welting between the fenders and body was a real nice touch. The pics are not the best. This car was also featured in Forza magazine late 2002/2003 time frame. It definately wasn't a color combination that you would think of, but looked "spot on" on this body. I think someone posted a pic of this car in the beginning of this thread. I have a picture of that car as well from 2002, except at Pebble Beach. Pretty car. And another one from 2002, this was at Laguna Seca. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
