I like to try and lust after a favorite car until another one comes along and I can lust after it for a while. I have various catagories but I'm looking for some help with one. What are some of your favorite cars that can hold at least two cars seats or small children in the back? Lets pretend cost is not important as this is hypothetical anyway. It just has to be something that you love for some reason. It doesn't have to be the fastest in a drag or the quickest around the track just something that makes you want to get out of bed and drive it.

Current thoughts range from a souped up STi to a 612 scag. I've heard people say they hated their experience from a S55 but maybe it was due more to maintenance issues. I don't know enough about the Porsches out there but apparently the major complaint is that they are a little too good which doesn't seem too bad in the grand scheme of things.

So if you don't mind please share your favorite 4 person car experiences.

to me a 4 person car needs to have plenty room and four doors. So 911s and mustangs don't cut it, those backseats suck. The quattraporte and Rolls royce phantom and or bentley would be my ultimate four doors.

I really miss the steel-body version of the Jaguar XJ car; somehow this new aluminum version just doesn't have the classic style.

Any of the models, including the 6cylinder, were IMHO good 4-passanger town & country drivers, but of course I would rather have the supercharged V8.

Mitsubishi EVO... you get super car performance(0-60 mph in the mid 4 second range), all wheel drive, decent gas mileage, Recaro seats, Brembo brakes, Momo steering wheel...easily hopped up with a chip to get unbelievable power for a few hundred bucks, and it will actually seat five ...I am getting the new EVO X next year to replace my current e60 M5...

Whats the story here? You've been on the M5's jock for years....and now you're going to replace it with.......a Mitsubishi?

I guess I'm going to trade my Turbo in on that Isuzu I've always wanted.

i've got to say my favorite driving experience in any 4-door car was an 85 rolls silver spur. however, i've never driven any of the new models, but styling wise i'd have to say it's between the new arnage/azure, the silver seraph/corniche, and the s65 amg.

I vote for the Evo X as well. I haven't seen the final product on the road but the technical specifications will make it world class.

CL65. The previous version. Beautiful in the looks department, and no 5000lb cruiser has a right to be soooo fast. You just can't beat a V-12.

That's is correct...I have used M5s as daily drivers for well over a decade now...an e34, e39 and my current e60...and I have enjoyed all of them. I am just looking for something different next time...something with similar performance but, more economical and the EVO X will serve that need just fine. I'm just getting a little tired of German cars with their expensive tires, poor fuel economy(my M5 is averaging ~12.4 mpg) and generally poor performance for the dollar spent. While my new M5 is very fast, the EVO X is just as fast for about 1/3 the cost...

My favourite right now is the Mercedes S65 AMG or Audi S6.

The Audi interior is beautiful, sat it in last weekend. But Audi detuning the Lamborghini V10 makes me want an M5 more.

If this thread includes future whips, the Aston Martin Rapide looks like it'll be a grand slam..

Those are all great cars...but, really offer poor performance for the amount they cost to buy, own and maintain...you just can't beat the Japanese cars for bang for the buck!

I generally don't get excited about four seaters, but...

Range Rover or LR3. Beautiful, comfortable, practical (if you can stand to get it dirty), good breeding. And I'll always have a sports car for the hard core, top-down driving.

A 612 is intriguing -- never been in one, though. Any room in the back for adults?
