I am planing to visit Rome in May 2007, and I would like to visit some Ferrari Museum (like Galleria Ferrari in Maranello or San Marino Ferrari Museum) but near Rome... do you know if there are any cars museum near Rome?

I understand that there are not Ferrari museum everywhere, so if you know another cars museum? Maserati, Bugatti, Pagani, classics, etc., please, let me know!

    Thank you very much.

    Best wishes.

I am from Rome, and i can tell you there's no Ferrari Museum here.
We have a Ferrari/Maserati Dealer, Sa.Mo.Car., a Ferrari Store, a Lambo dealer, a Porsche dealer, a Bentley dealer etc etc. but no museum.

    Thanks for the info Tridente78!!

What is "Sa.Mo.Car."?? Ferrari dealer name?

By other way, I hear about private collections, like Stanguellini, Righini and Panini Collection. I know there are another cars (no Ferrari) but also it would be interesting to visit. Is it possible any private collection in Rome or near?

    Thank you very much!!

    Enrique.

All those collection are mostly in the Emilia Romagna region.
The best place to visit, if you want to see some unique museums and collections that are "car-related".
When i went there last summer, i visited:
    - Galleria Ferrari in Maranello
    - Lamborghini Museum, small but very very nice
    - Maserati showroom in Modena (nice MC12 displayed)
    - Pagani atelier (a day i'll never forget...)

And i had not the time to see everything.

Private collections here in Rome: as far as i know, there are some collectors (we have 5 Enzos here), but they don't show their cars.
Give me again the period you'll be here, and i'll try to check for some events near Rome.

    Thanks!!

I will be there from 14th May to 21th May. I will go with several Ferrari cars and friends. We will participate in 500 Miglia D´abruzzo, around Giuglianova, Pescara, etc.

My Ferry from Spain arrive to Civitavecchia (I think). And we sleep in Hilton Hotel in Rome. At the moment we have 2 free days, and that is the reason I am looking for something to visit there.

When we arrive, you are invited to come with us!!

    Best wishes,

    Enrique.
