Haze on the inside is usually from evaporating vinyl dressing. I never use it for the same reason. Traffic film on the outside can often be removed with half an apple. Yes, it sounds crazy, but try to cut an apple in half and rub the glass with the cut side of the apple. Wipe with clean cloth afterwards. If necessary wash with water |

I know that a lot of haze on the interior windshields is caused by the vinyl giving off a gas and it leaves a haze on the inside glass. The outside, Well if it is covered it is probably microscopic dust particles that cannot escape and settle in the moisture under the cover and the same on the body. On the glass you can use a product called Scrub and Bubbles which has a light abrasive in it. It will remove the haze completely. Then you may have to follow up with a regular glass cleaner like Windex. |

I have battled with a haze on the windows on my 1990 348 since I bought it. I simply can not get the windows to look clean. I have tried a number of cleaners and even tried polishing the glass with no luck. It looks like covering the car makes the haze worse. It is most visible on the inside of the windshield (the outside has it too but I can dry polish the outside and get most of the stuff off). I also see the haze on the body but I usually can polish it off the body. Anyone have any ideas on what is causing the haze and especially how to get the glass clean? Thanks --Don |
