SALESMAN: (running back to algar & out of breath) BOSS! BOSS! That guy that flew up from Atlanta just stole our F-50!! BOSS: What!? Which way did he go? SALESMAN: I think he headed north! I could hear him changing gears for at least a mile or more! BOSS: (with a puzzled look on his face).......... You mean there's more than 1 gear?

Solly, someone posted that an F50 was stolen by a "client" during a test drive. Should still be a current topic within a day or so. |

They'll probably just deduct the sticker price of the salesman's pay checks. His life is now Algars. |

Or,maybe those guys that were chrome plating an F50 for the rapper(another previous thread)screwed it up,and needed to get a replacement car...FAST! (see, all those years of driving my 308,and keeping the 'stache, have paid off-I think I solved the case!)...I guess it paid to watch all thoise old "Magnum" reruns while I was laid up. Now,all we gotta do is find 'em! Call Rick and TC! Better get Mr.T,too! |

Maybe the Magnum P.I. folks were reading all our posts about what kind of car Magnum should come back in ,in the remake of the show. And,since the F50 is an open top car... |

Mr. Crazy Eddie, meet Mr. Crazy Test Driver from Hell. Or "Oh, sorry, you wanted to get in? I'll have to be more paitient next time." "How many Algar mechanics does it take to service their F50?" "5, but you have to kidnap and chloroform them yourself." Best! Ben. |

This actually happened to me when I was working for Porsche in Oakland CA. Test drive, we change places, and the guy just takes off!! The police had a house under surveillance on a drug deal, and the guy parked in front so they ran the plates and picked up the car and the perp. He had the effrontery to plead not guilty, even though I identified him in court. Later on at the same dealership two guys walked into the service dept. found a Turbo with the keys in it and just peeled out of the service entrance. They crashed on the freeway a few minutes later. There's lots more stories like the guy who broke into the dealership at night through the skylight. The alarm went off and the service manager met the police and went through the place. No perp to be found, but all the doors were locked. Police notice a bathroom door is locked from the inside so, in a loud voice they ask the manager what gives? He says, also in a loud voice, "that door is never locked, just blow the lock off with your shotgun" From inside a voice says "don't shoot, I'm coming out" |

What's the difference between a test drive at Algar and a test drive at any other dealership...? A test drive at any other dealership usually ends back at the dealership! |

Why did the Algar Ferrari salesman cross the road...? To find another job! How many Algar Ferrari salesman does it take to sell a Ferrari...? None, the cars are just taking off without any sales assistance! What's the difference between Algar Ferrari and Ferrari of Long Island...? An F50! What do you call it when Algar refuses you a test drive...? An anti-theft measure! Just having a little fun; i don't mean anything bad by it... i actually feel bad for the salesperson as s/he was just doing his job and probably got reamed (if not fired) after this whole thing happened... i'm sure s/he will look back at this one day and laugh... |
