Son't forget to put a "Do Not Disturb" sign on the trailer's lock before the journey begins.
Don't forget to put a "Lobster" bib on DES's neck - better make it a double - all that drool... |

The main reaction one has, when seeing this car in person, is amazement as to how small it is and how big the balls of those who drove her at speed at SPA in the rain were. Best |

Jim, I realize that us in the peanut gallery can't vote (after all, it is your car), but it has occurred to me that this restoration would make a great art exhibit. You could have a series of rooms. The first room could have life sized pictures of the car as you found it. Each successive room would then have life sized pictures of the destruction and recreation process ending, of course, with the final product.
Don't get me wrong. You sound like the kinda guy who will take this car out on track. However, odds are good that this may be near the last time that someone is willing to do what you have done. It takes a very special person to be willing to pour the time and money into a project like this. Thus, a documentary of your trials and tribulations will enable countless old farts to say to the their kids, "See, this is how they used to do it!" Great job. Dale |

I hear you, Dale. One of the great things about Jim is that he is creating a living record of his restoration here on F-Chat. Since Rob plans to keep the archives forever, future generations will have the benefit of Jim's posts here.
