Goodwood Revival 2012

Are any other F-Chat members planning to attend? If so, maybe we could arrange an informal meet-up during the weekend.

Jack

edit: By coincidence...my tickets just arrived!

My tickets arrived a long time ago but then again I ordered them as soon as the 2012 dates were published back in 2011!

I'll be dressed as a sixties Ferrari mechanic. Hope the weather will be nice or at least no rain!

Best regards, Peter

So.....you'll be the one with the greasy cap, three day beard, soiled overalls, holey boots and a soggy Denobili Toscanelli Maduro in the corner of your mouth?

I'll be watching for you!

Jack

Me too Jack..

The all Cobra race.....the Revival car park -worth the trip alone, and the "Silver Arrows" demonstration - it could be a longtime before we see them on track together, in such numbers..its only been seventy five years!!

Kristensen and McNish in Auto Union's v Jochen Mass and Bernd Schneider in W125's?

Ed (trilby and blazer already bought!)

The all-Cobra race should be interesting, but I hope they can still participate in the TT as well. Will there be a GTO tribute?

I ordered on the same day and have seen nothing. Getting really worried now, will phone tomorrow. I spent over 1,000 pounds, they better get to me soon!!!!!

@Jack-the-lad - would be great to meet up with you again! Let's try and make it happen if my tickets arrive. My GTC is booked to be in a special display car park, on Saturday I think.

Hi Gents, I've ordered tickets for the Sunday, which looks like a fabulous programme. A catch up would be fun - especially with folks with an interest in the older cars.

I've been thinking (vaguely) of renting some appropriate transport for the day - a Morgan or MG, fer instance. Does anyone have a suggestion or experience of a supplier? I'll be based in the Tunbridge Wells area.

Close to where you will be staying...

I have no financial interest, and don't know of them to be able to endorse

Hi! I'm planning to drive from Norway to Goodwood for the Revival, but I'm struggling to find a hotel with vacancy. Anyone have any good tips? Doesn't matter if it is within an hour or so of driving.

Cheers,

Had a great day today. Bit of rain early on which was not forecast but it soon cleared up and was bright and sunny. Interesting qualifying and the GTO parade was good. Saw some cars that I had not seen there before. Looking forward to a full programme on Saturday plus it will be open until 10.00pm!

Yep, great day today. Silver arrows were good to see as well. Luckily the rain never really got heavy enough to be a problem.

Photos here.

Another great day! Hot and sunny with a clear sky all day long. Excellent racing, especially the Whitsun Trophy. Man, those Lolas and Chinooks are badass! The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight was good as ever, the Lancaster is always worth seeing. Hawker Hunter jets and Sea Fury in the skies as well. Looking forward to wrapping it up tomorrow with a trip down to the Lavant end.
