    Thanks for helping out.

Seems this replika maker is an ex-Touring employee?

Googling "Scaduto" and I find that Ferrarichat has another thread on what seems to be the very same car:

    http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/recreations-non-period-rebodies/483979-celebration-early-ferrari.html

    no -- two threads.

    http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/recreations-non-period-rebodies/408110-what-model-genuine-reproduction.html

("horrific fake" and "beautiful fake" among the descriptions).
Anyway. Case settled. Thread in wrong forum.

    Thanks.
So that's why I could not find it.
barchetta.cc had it sorted under 166 Inter by Ghia.

It says "Dino" Ferrari crashed it into a factory wall?
Would that be inside or outside the factory?

Not sure, it could be #0068M but apart from an appearance at Pebble I can see no other reference to Quail and the two guys are both wearing Quail hats sooooo.........
If a Ferrari hits a wall at the Factory does that make it more valuable?

Nothing to do with a 166 MM Barchetta Touring. Clearly Charles Betz and Fred Peters in the rebodied 166 Inter 0049 S.
Born as Coupe Ghia. Rebodied by Steve Beckman in California in the 1990's into a look-a-like of a "Touring Barchetta".
Car also has a second chassis number 0070. Sold by Gooding a few years ago to South America. Supposedly for sale at Rick Cole online auction Monterey 8/16.
Original Ghia body still existed more or less intact until a few months ago. No crash in or near factory, that is pure fantasy.

    Very useful information.

Just found this FC thread from 2011:

    http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/vintage-thru-365-gtc4-sponsored-vintage-driving-machines/340153-166-inter-ghia-0049s.html

Seems little came of the then much-applauded restoration back to Ghia, if I am to believe this attempt at Monterrey 2016 (which included the Ghia coupe body):

Rick Cole Auctions - Auction: Monterey 2016 ITEM: 1950 Ferrari 166 Inter (Not Available)

(not sure who to trust anymore -- not even barchetta.cc, providing rumors about factory crashes?)
