Most likely the rear e brake adjustment screws on each side needed to be backed off. Then re adjustment made after new pads........

Thanks for the reply. I was able to pull the ebrake cable off so thought that was the best it got for relieving the pressure.

Showed the 308 at the Danville Concours d'Elegance today. So many gorgeous F-cars today, 26 by my count. Congrats to Bob H and Kevin E for taking home the F1 class wins.

nothing on the car, but 308 GTB related.
Finally found that long sought after promotion poster, showing the 308GTB parking at the Fiorano track with Niki Lauda in his 312 T2 in the background.
Poster is photoshopped regarding the position of the F1 car but still great. And for a 1-digit GBP-amount a great deal
And since I like it so much I actually dared and managed to mount it onto a medium density fiberboard.

    Best from Germany

Image Unavailable, Please Login Sorry, but I still do not know how to upload two IOs pics within one post.
Since it worked so well with the poster shown above I did the same with my 'decisions,decisions-poster', which is a great repro given to me by a FChat buddy last year.

Replaced the modern stereo with a more appropriate vintage stereo... I actually had this identical model in my first car back in the late 80's/early 90's. Still a great unit, with that lovely Alpine design. And ironically, I can now also listen to my iPod via a cassette adapter. ;)

Hoping I have solved the problem with the WUR by scraping a shellac like residue off of the electrical contacts and now getting the proper resistance reading.

Does anyone know if the "132" at the end of the part number is a date code or just a model variation as this WUR seems to be in many makes from the 1980s?

    Thanks

Repaired the left flash-pass light, so that it now illuminates.

And believe me, that was a freaking saga.

132 is a model variant and is a correct part number for your car. I have a scan of the full list of Bosch K-Jet WURs if you'd like a copy, but it doesn't have much information apart from which version suits which cars.

Thanks for that information. If that is the only variation number that fits my car no need for the list. Very helpful!!!

083 is also specified for the 308 but I think you can assume you have the right part on your car.

Needed to test some new plugs, so that meant 'caning it' as we used to say in the mother tongue.

^ Gratuitous photo of my beloved 308 ^

4 miles of hard driving, then back home, shut it off and pulled the plugs.

A little rich as expected but no more fouling near the electrode Switching to IRIDIUM IX BPR5EIXs seem to have done the trick.

In other news... I seem to have blown out an exhaust sampling plug

Ordered a new cold start injector as I think it MIGHT be the problem with my sputtering cold starts.

Also checked and cleaned many of the AMP connectors under the engine deck..

My drivers door started making a loud groan/squeak when opened just like in a horror movie when a big oak door is opened in a haunted house. It was actually quite amusing and I thought about leaving it but in the end accessed the limiting strap mechanism by removing the wheelarch liner plate and greased it, cured the noise.
