    Hey all! Hope all's been well.

    I'm currently in the market for a 458 Italia coupe. '12 seems like a sweet spot for pricing and the third gen DCT. I'll be happy to entertain a '10 or '11 if it can be verified through service records that the DCT was replaced in '12, or later.

    Looking for something roughly in the 170k to 180k range. Less than 15k on the odo. I'll entertain all colors except yellow or blue. No accident history, please.

    While I prefer some options over others, they don't make or break the car for me. Getting a car that has been well taken care of, is of far greater importance.

    Really hope you can help. :)

    You shouldn't be limiting yourself to a '10 or an '11 only if the DCT has been replaced. First off if there would be DCT trouble on these cars (and it is rare) all is needed to replaced now is a sensor. No need to replace the entire gearbox. Also an FYI... these years have the exhaust burbles and pops (if they haven't been flashed) that the '12's and newer don't have. I can't tell you the amazing sound mine has when coming off the accelerator at about 4000 rpm. My '11 is unflashed. The newer ones sound good too, but no where near the sound like the earlier 458's do. Just buy the best one you can find with the color and options desired you can find and don't be concerned with the year.

    Dialing in on black. After doing more research looks like CPO is the way to go. By narrowing it this much and lowering the previously desired miles, my price paid will be more, but that's okay with me. I'd rather pay more now than have more problems later.

    This has been a blast learning what to buy and getting prepared for what will be one of the most fun experiences of my life! :) Really appreciate the help, amico!

    Where in Texas? I have a '11 Grigio Silverstone and Cuio car I may be persuaded to sell. Mine has been flashed ( Still has the pops), lowered on Novitecs and has a 20"-21" HRE setup. I've got 16.5k miles on it though. I drive the car a lot, put almost 4k on it in the last 3 months. I'm in Frisco.
