Very strict rules in the F1 section, and some very fragile personalities.

    Are you 12 years old?

Anyone who has a "smart watch" at this point in the game is a joke.

You obviously also had a calculator watch in 1983...

Yes I do and yes I did. If I can do something to get me and smart in the same sentence, I'm doing it!

    "aircon has a smart watch"

See? Aircon and smart in the same sentence........again.

The thing these tech enthusiasts don't seem to understand is that not everyone actually gives a crap about having the latest.
If that kind of stuff really bothers you you're going to spend your whole life in a very short cycle of being happy because you've got the newest phone and then hating it just a few months later when the next one comes out, which is pretty lame.
Surely the vast majority of phone users don't fit into that category. I'd bet most people keep a phone for 3 years or so.

I'd buy a X when it comes out but don't want the face recognition stuff, so I'll buy an 8 instead.

Having said that, I totally agree about the cost and need for accessories.
Why the **** equip the phone for fast charging but don't include the cable? Ridiculous.

I've used the google phone for surveying blue-tooth environments, strangely they were the only phones to be able to do it due to the drivers, that was a positive but other than that the battery seemed to last longer than other phones of the same time frame

Can anyone tell me how to stop my phone / iPad from constantly sending all my music to the cloud?

Even stuff I’ve bought on iTunes when I go to listen to it after a while all the songs have that silly cloud download picture and effectively have to be re-downloaded (see pic) which of course means if I’m not at home I’m using mobile data, or if I’m in the aircraft I can’t get to it at all.
What the **** is that about?

If I’ve bought something and downloaded it to my phone, surely it should bloody well stay there in the phone’s memory?!

    Thanks for you help.

Doing a little research this is a problem that is infuriating a lot of people and no-one appears to have a way of stopping it.
It seems that with every upgrade to iOS they make this feature harder and harder to turn off, and now it is impossible.

The worst part is that it even does it with my own CDs that have been copied to the phone.
Can you believe that? You rip one of your own CDs to iTunes and put it on your phone, then a couple of days later you decide to listen to it only to discover it’s been sent to the cloud and must be downloaded again?!

Seriously, what kind of a total wanker would even dream up such a stupid system?
It’s not like it’s a storage issue - my phone has over 90Gb of space available!!

And tech people wonder why the average punter gets frustrated and peed off at these forced “upgrades”.

If what you say is right, but I doubt it, that's ridiculous.

    OTOH I love my Samsung.

Reading some online forums, a lot of people are reporting the same frustration.
One tech guy popped up and said words to the effect “You should be grateful. It’s an excellent safety feature. What if you lost your phone or it got destroyed? This way all your music is safe”.

Which is all well and good, but why not just keep a COPY in the cloud?
Why forcefully remove the music from the phone storage and put it in the cloud when the user hasn’t even asked for it?
And, most of all, why remove the ability to turn off the feature in the latest versions of iOS?

    Honestly. Utter, utter wankers.

I believe this is probably the support portion of Apple saving themselves a LOT of calls from end users who are too stupid to recover the storage they had on their phones.

With this enforced method someone who loses (or should that be looses  ) or breaks ( brakes) their phone will have it back to 'normal' without any intervention from Apple support .................. they do realise their user base is in the lower quadrant of the IQ pie chart :p

For people working in Networking... aka Moretti :p Enjoy fixing this new exploit for WPA2... lol

For everyone else it's important to keep tabs of up coming firmware patches and OS patches, this effects nearly every single hardware vendor. Luckily this attack can only be done in range and it's not been spotted in the "wild" so for the most part everyone should be "ok" for now but it's best not to use public wifi.
