Hi all, planning to do a 2k mile road trip over the next 5 or so days to the tail of the dragon and surrounding area, in the likelihood of worst case scenario, are there any good shops for service around the Asheville NC and Knoxville TN area you guys would recommend?

Very excited for the trip as I've only managed to drive the car 200 miles since buying it last fall. Will do my best to keep the enthusiasm on the road to a minimum and not drive off the twisities on cold summer rubber :)

I agree about GTM and Sons in Greer. They have service my last two Ferraris and are nice, excellent people to deal with. They will keep you informed about what your car needs and are straight up.

I've ridden motorcycles up and down the Tail of the Dragon numerous times till I figured out it was getting too crowded and moved on to several other much better and less travelled bike roads elsewhere in the Smokies. I would be very careful driving an expensive car up or down the Tail. It's full of motorcyclists, not many cars, and all of them are seeing how fast they can do the circuit, which means they're ll over the road and not really looking for cars. Your chances of getting a bike into you go up exponentially there. I might add that there are much better routes around the Smokies. Find them on Google.
