Crazy how much this car looks like to a replica !

Are you sure it's really entered in the Tour Auto this year ?

Apparently it's not registered as a participant.

2129 GT, 2445 GT, 3143 GT, 3401 GT are the four 250 GT SWB Berlinettas registered for this week's Tour Auto Optic 2000 in France. None of these is painted ivory.

In which case it is listed on the DVLA website as a 1962 Ferrari with a 2953cc engine capacity. So if not a real SWB it must be a 250GTE?

Must have been built by a relatively new player.

The fabulous design is really ruined.

It is not 3603 GT but could be 3031 GT.

Born as a lovely Series One 250 GTE 2+2 originally painted Grigio Fumo 18944 M (Smoke Grey) with Nero VM 8500 Connolly black leather. Completed 17 March 1962 and delivered new to official dealer Vincenzo Malagò & Co. in Rome, Italy. Later exported to USA and with several owners in California.

As far as I know 3031 is still a GTE.

Just wondering, is there anything about the body of this car that easily gives it away as a fake? I'd like to be able to tell when I see one. Thanks.

In the side view the biggest problem is that the side line is too flat. Looks terrible, a real car has a continuous arc from headlight to door handle, like the car was ready to jump! SWB Berlinetta is a really beautiful design. My first reaction to a replica always is that the car looks ugly, before I can put my finger on what the problem is!

    - I do not believe that is 3031GT : the last (and I think the current) french registration of the 250 GT/E 3031GT is "DG-891-JK" (summer 2014)

    - Any more info about the possible fake swb 3369GT ?

3369GT is the chassis of the car posted, I have no other information regarding it as of yet.

I have a question: for the 1960 models (first 3 evolutions), the air outlet shouldn't be on the rear window instead of the roof ?

And what about the side markers light. Aren't they missing ?

For me, this reconstruction is nice but there are somme small anachronisms.
