I'm on the same page. I'm not chasing lap times and I'm focusing on technique. Safety is #1 and I'm cautious and courteous on track. My instructors always commend the smoothness of both hands and feet and are comfortable with my pace. I plan to have seats, roll cage, and harnesses in by the start of the 2017 season. I'm also attending the 2 day class at the Porsche Sport Driving school in a couple of months. I'm definitely hooked. I did 17 track days this past season. Thanks for the encouragement and I'm looking forward to learning more. My instructors
With FCA? The Bridge was a challenging track; never timed myself while I tracked a stock '87 328 GTS on Goodyear Eagle street tires at that time. Wish I had video of the 6 F-40s, 512BBLM, Tiga-Ferrari among other Ferrari's zipping by me at full song.
I ran with the FCA most of the time but also with NY Metro PCA since a buddy was Track Chair at the time. My last date out there was the last time the track was open. The PCA had just had a full weekend at The Bridge and the FCA had run at Pocono the same weekend. A bunch of NSX guys asked the PCA to supply flagging, instructors, and any additional drivers who wanted to help defray the cost of the day. This produced a few more Porsches and a couple of Ferrari owners too. Two were running F40s. Just before the last run of the day one of the F40 owners overfilled his fuel tanks and I helped the other F40 owner drain off fuel for the guy. Once done he asked if I had my helmet. I ran and got it and did the session in the F40 with him. It was incredible and is my most outstanding memory of The Bridge. I swear we were airborne for a few feet at the uphill just behind the rear entrance to the paddock (turn 6?). That was also the day I ran my best time. The track closed for good after this series of events. And YES, The Bridge was very challenging and rewarding too.
I drove with Metro PCA periodically, but mostly FCA and Trackmasters. One time at The Bridge, I ran out of fuel at the end of the day, but was rescued by one of Benny's entourage giving me a few gallons so I could get to a gas station. Those were simpler and in many ways more enjoyable times!
Glad you got a day at The Bridge ; it beats video games. And yes, those days were much more enjoyable . Although not surprising to see the comraderie of Benny and his folks, its not the norm. I think back to how lucky we were to routinely run in sessions that included 275 GTB/Cs, race prepared Daytonas, BBLMs, Testa Rossas, 250LMs, etc. That was a special time. Best wishes for 2017
Thanks Pfl, my most vivid memory ever is getting passed on the outside while drifting out of turn eight going into turn nine-- at night!
Nurburgring public day, bridge to bridge, around 8 minutes. My mouth was dry, I never tried that again. Lol.

Thermal Raceway, South Palms Circuit. 1:10.9 on my shakedown day in the 488, on Pirelli DH tires. Absolute track record is a 1:09. I'll be back https://youtu.be/UGIGwgo2Plo The following day, after the rain dried up, Thermal Raceway full circuit (Desert + North Palms + South Palms), 2:59:99. Still one wet patch on the track, and very new asphalt, so I expect the times'll come down significantly over the next 6 months. https://youtu.be/8iEUQB5UV5s
2:30 at COTA in a Stock E36 would be tremendous IMHO and would equal my best time with my CS on old R compound Street tires...for reference here a video a Speciale and he is lapping in the 2:29. I know the driver and wouldn't call him a novice....https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SruOU98GMvs
2:39 SPA in a supercharged R8 GT on Cup 2 tyres also hit 200mph down the main straight at the Ring on the same trip, I didn't get a lap time but it was under 8mins 51sec at Brands Hatch Indy same car but Trofeo R's at Time attack last year.

Yes, my best at COTA is 2:40 in my 991tts with regular PZeros. Lot's of places to lose time on that track, 15-18, 6-8, easy to be out of position for the next turn in all those turns. Red E34..... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iE7-VdEyMtQ

2:12.9 at COTA in a rented 458 Challenge EVO, on sticker tires. Here's a vid of a 2:13 lap on non-stickers. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q3M9JBdI1PI and a new PB of 1:26 at Laguna Seca in my 488 GT3 (non sticker tires) with enough mufflers to meet a 90dB limit  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jb3qapf9J0M
That's pretty good driving but you seem to be off track a lot. Is that a good thing or just an artifact of your camera? Looks for sure like you are off track on turns 1,5,8 11 and 20, yet the car doesn't seem to have a problem with it. No apparent loss of traction or control, pretty impressive lap. I couldn't do 90 through the S in my TTS that's for sure but I could hit 160 on the back and 140 on the grandstand. I also can't get through 6-9 the way you did, clearly a better more experienced driver than me but that doesn't take much, LOL!
