    Hello folks:
I am new to the forum, reside in Upstate NY (Rockland County) I am considering purchasing a Ferrari 512 BB or a BBi and /or a Testarossa, however, I am more inclined to the 512 BB carbureted models.

Can anyone shed some light as to what to stay away from?

According to the Hagerty valuation tool, the concourse #1 cars of this model are below the $400K . Most of the models that I have been looking at for sale are $429 -$375 etc.

My biggest concerns are prior service maintenance especially the belts service and transmission. I don't want to spend this amount of money and get taken for the proverbial ride and end up spending more than I need to.

The Testarossa models I have been steered away by many but I am still in love with this car so maybe is still a strong contender. I am in not rush to buy that is why I am reading a lot and getting as much advise as I can.
Your comments and suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
    Regards
    Lou
