My Lusso will be brought to Production this coming Monday...

    Hi Folks,

    I just received an email from my dealer, telling me that my car will be "brought to production this coming Monday" and we should be on line for a delivery in March 18. Can someone specify what "brought to production" means? Does that just mean the car configuration is locked? Or does that mean they will actually start building the car?

    Is it also when you can start following the status on MODIS?

    Sorry if that sounds trivial, it's my first Ferrari :).

    Congratulations! I suspect they are meaning that your order would be locked but not actual production beginning due to the amount of time between now and then. I also suppose it could be production beginning if your car has a lot of special extras.

    Congratulations, 5 months seems a long time but I suppose that includes shipping.
    I think they mean all your personal spec has been ordered and a date for the shell build had been programmed.

    What spec have you ordered?

    I would say it's a rather classic configuration from what I have seen on this forum, I dont think there is anything that requires starting building the car 5 months before delivery! As you guys say it's probably just that the specs are locked now.

    Congrats 350Mh83 great build, don't be afraid, Tim's old lee enfield rifle isn't functionnal anymore

    I just received the same note from my dealer for my 488 Spider. Final selection this Monday for January Production and mid March delivery.

    Bye coincidence my girgio silver stone Lusso with pano roof, yellow calipers and cuoio leather arriving at my dealer next week.
