Front end all finished up now, so washer bag in, ARB hooked up and liners installed. Rear ARB also hooked up. Fuel system work now under way, so mock up for fuel swirl pot made and pumps installed, low pressure lifter to the tank and then high pressure with by pass regulator to the injection unit.

Simon, you brits (you, Julian, Mark Stewart, Trev) really put the rest of us to shame. Amazing work, as always. Glad to see that Kari has been helpful.

    Hello Simon,
Would you mind letting me know if you have to modify the bonnet or reposition the hole to mount the single arm wiper assembly.
    Many thanks ,
    Tom

Hi Tom - yes the bonnet is modified with the small cut-out for the wiper arm and the hole re-positioned to make the single pantograph boxer wiper arm work and cover the screen, will get a picture posted up to show this.

    Hello Simon,
Many thanks for taking the time to answer my question so quickly.
Unfortunately my bodywork skills are no way as impressive as yours so will leave well alone.
Like many others,I been following and appreciating your sharing of this superb project and look forward to its completion.
    Thanks again,
    Tom

Started work on getting the fuel system plumbed in, so all filters now in place 30 micron from the tank, 8 micron pre-filter for the kugelfischer pump, and a bypass regulator to set fuel pressure accurately. I have also decided to go remote oil filter really for ease of servicing and to get clutter out of the way as the alternator will sit partly in this void.

I have also changed out the front to rear oil pipes for stainless and nylon covered hose front to rear as these are now continuous and have a much better under-car run. They are tight in the oval of the main chassis tube but just fit nicely.

Next job is mounting up the alternator and finishing up the fuel system but need a few special parts machining up to make this work.

the newly available pirelli corsa classics might be a better fit over the michilen TB's that came with the original cars.

a little taller dia in the rears to fill up the large gap over the TB's 15.. 308s had huge wheel wells even without the flares

Have made a further tray to cover up the rear of the cabin, curious that Ferrari left this exposed, there is a small bent lip this will make sure the engine under-tray is not left with an exposed edge when fitted.

For the airbox was lucky enough to pick up another airbox for £40 so cut out a lot of extra fabrication time.

May well look at a set of TB's but as the car will be spending most of it's time on the road the P zero looked a good bet especially as I had a spare set in the garage.

Screen now in, so another job off the list, was a little tricky as the flanges are not very wide, but made up some spacers to make sure the screen was aligned ok and seemed to go in fairly easily. Will follow up fitting the trims once this has cured as left all the channels un-obscured with PU for the trims.

Crikey looks quite rusty on the chassis, and I assume it is US spec with all the bumper reinforcements?
