hello! I'm new to the Forum as of about 15 minutes ago. My name is Andrew, I am 20yrs old and live in the GTA. Have loved ferrari as long as I can remember, many hours were spent infront of a computer screen as a child pretending I was actually in one. The dream is to get behind the wheel of and hopefully own a Ferrari. Found my way here many of times through my daily routine of ferrari searching, glad to find a whole community of people who share the passion for such a great car company. I look forward to reading through all the threads and seeing all the great stuff you guys put up!

    Happy New Year!

We are changing the luxury and exotic car market

We have an exclusive network which combines luxury and exotic car dealers and high net-worth private party individuals that buy, sell, and trade within the community.

We are changing the market by adding a coupon approach for our members (private party and dealers). Dealers need to manage inventory and most will use a 90 day price cut strategy. This means 90 day units need to be reduced in order to acquire new ones.

We have 230 luxury and exotic dealers in our community. At some point these dealers need to liquidate inventory but don't want to send cars to the auction and take a significant loss using a wholesaler and/or sell to another dealer. The end user should benefit. They also do not want to lower prices for the entire market to see. Instead they want to establish a long term relationship with individuals that trade in and out of cars often.

Wholesale priced inventory is exposed only to our members of the RITEDRIVE community. All members are verified and approved. If you are a player in this high dollar arena, then we welcome you to join. Your Exclusive Exotic Car Network - RITEDRIVE We welcome REAL buyers that are looking for deals and are ready to purchase cars at wholesale.

We respect and appreciate Ferrari Chat and will be posting exclusive units to this forum. Take advantage of this opportunity to buy cars 'RITE" on Your Exclusive Exotic Car Network - RITEDRIVE™

Welcome to the luxury and exotic car market revolution!

    Your feedback is appreciated

This forum has been a big help to me with picking options and figuring out the timing. My new Cali T just arrived at the dealership yesterday just in time for some summer fun. I live in Motown and we don't see many of these cars in the Detroit area. Lots of very nice new
Vettes but very few Italian cars. All the GM guys consider Ford to be a "foreign car" and the
    reverse is also true, lol.

Hello all! I have been lurking around here for well over a year or so. I have to say that I really enjoy reading the posts and the community! My name is John, and I live in Tennessee. I am preparing to start my doctoral studies in history this fall in hopes of becoming a professor and to publish more! I have been a car geek and fanatic since I was very small. In fact, because I love to write, I even started a small blog that while completely insignificant, I enjoy. Writing and cars are two of my passions, so why not combine the two :D I have loved and lusted after Ferrari cars since I was allowed to put up posters in my bedroom :) The f40 and f50 adorned my walls with pride as I dreamed about those wonderful machines. I hope to own an Ferrari one day, but it will be a hard go on a hopefully soon-to-be professor salary :p

    Hello all,

My name is Matt, I have been a longtime Ferrari enthusiast (since 5 years old) and see that dream forming in my young son. I have/still want an F430 in my garage and one day that will happen. I'm very fortunate to do what I love and meet great people along the way. I've met some members at Larz Anderson in Boston and figured it was time to stop lurking!

Hello, I am Ryan and I am new to this forum. Owning a Ferrari has been a dream of mine since I was a child. This dream has recently become a goal. There is a big difference there. :) My goal is to own one by the age of 50, so I have about 7.5 years left to achieve my goal.

Like many others, I became acquainted with Ferrari watching Magnum P.I. as a child. As a teenager, my interest grew after I attended a Ferrari Club of America track day at Laguna Seca. There was something magical about these cars. Something magical I felt from absolutely no other marque. I also grew up a huge motorsports fan, watching Rick Mears set the standard as a "modern" auto racing role model.

The day I graduated from San Jose State University, I saw a job opening at Laguna Seca Raceway and a few weeks later I started my job there. One of the best tracks in the world, I was exposed to many Ferrari owners through track days there. I left Laguna Seca to work in Indianapolis training Indy Car drivers and pit crews. It was quite an eye-opening experience, but it also killed the mystique of motorsports for me. Like the film industry, it's not as pretty on the inside as it appears on the outside!

I moved back to California and started a business just prior to the economic crash of 2008, which most people did not see coming. I struggled to keep my company and livelihood in tact for a few years, and I hung in there long enough to make a key strategic move early last year. Business is up almost 50% in the past year alone! Luckily, I have met great fortune in hiring some unbelievably great employees who allow me to pursue other interests as well. To hedge my future against the ever present risk of economic decline, I started work on a master's degree program in 2012 that I will complete this summer. I'll earn a license that will put me into a career that is very flexible and very lucrative. In addition, I am in the process of establishing an auto brokerage service with a good friend of mine who also loves cars.

As my dream has turned into my goal, I have begun researching the nitty gritty of Ferrari ownership. I have to say, so far, it's a buzzkill to read about all of the ridiculously expensive maintenance costs to drive these cars a few thousand miles a year. I realize when you choose to own a Ferrari, you aren't looking for the least expensive daily driver. But, there are certainly other marques out there with much less hassle and expense. The only problem is that they just don't come with that x factor that is bred into the soul of every Ferrari. I am looking forward to learning from all of you and making the best informed choice when I am ready to purchase my first Ferrari. Right now, that car is the F430 Berlinetta. For a purchase price in the very low six figures, it seems hard to beat.

    Ciao!

I have been lurking here for several months and thought an intro was probably in order. I primarily an early 911 guy having acquired a few over the last ten years or so, but have been a long time lover of vintage 12 cylinder Ferraris. Ever since a young high school student, I have been exposed to a number of them through my father (a very bad influence...). As I was contemplating my entrance into the world of early 911's, an "affordable" Ferrari was on my radar. I was looking for a 330 GT 2+2 single headlight version, but darn it if they were just outside my budget at the time in the mid $40s. Shoulda stretched that budget, eh...?

My first exposure was a 330 GTC in the early 80's. He owned it for a few years and had a hard time selling it priced in the $30's. The next car was a 275 GTB/4 that he restored. That was a thing of absolute beauty and my favorite. After that came a Testarossa replica accurately built from a 250 GTE. I know, sacrilege, but that was one adrenalin raising car to drive. On the heals of that car came a fantastic 365 GTC - the only non-red Ferrari in the lineup. It was a lovely Ivory or Light Ivory (in early Porsche speak) and was a wonderful Grand Touring Coupe. Sure wish he would have kept a couple of these. And the last was a 456 GT.

Oh and we are a long time vintage racing family, our roots dating back to when you regularly saw 250 GTO's, 250 SWB's, and TR's racing. Looking forward to learning more and conversing with the members here.

Greetings all. I first fell in love with Ferrari when I caught my first episode of Magnum PI. Since then I have enjoyed seeing how each model gets better than the last. One of my favorites is the 360 Modena and the F430. Anyway, I don't know a lot about owning the cars but would like to join those ranks at some point. What I do know is that I need to surround myself with plenty of people that do know. I look forward to reading and learning for many years to come and hope that I have information to share at some point as well.
Thank you for offering a great place for information and sharing of ideas.

Greetings - starkfu here - sort of a little kid in a grown up body (best way to sum me up!)

I've been a car guy all my life, dabbled heavily in Japanese import tuning in the mid to late 90's before getting into German cars. My stable is currently headed by an E46 M3 that I am dumping way too much money into. I've been toying with the idea of buying a used Ferrari for a while now, but my research on DIY Ferrari maintenance either drums up the response that "if you can't afford the maintenance, don't buy the car" or "good luck".... but I'm really interested in finding a 355F1 here at some point and I have a thing about letting anyone else touch my cars.

After getting settled into our home (just moved last June), I have a 3 car attached and we are looking at either expanding that space or me building another garage towards the end of our property to put my collection. My M3 and '91 integra take up the larger side and my wife insists on putting her Acura in the single side.... so expansion is a must.

So I am here to do some research on the 355 and DIY maintenance as well as look at car porn!

Also a ferrari stock shareholder now thanks to my position in FCAU which I am looking to dump as soon as the market recovers a little.

Mitchell here, recently relocated to NJ. No Ferrari, but I daily a '15 MX-5. Prior to moving to NJ, I lived in SoCal for a year and a half. Despite my many walks through Beverly Hills, I never noticed a single famous person: My eyes and ears were focused on the roads, where a lot of stunning machinery could be seen and heard.
