While you make some great points, and ones that I absolutely agree with... the fact is, that if you want an FXX K in 1:18 (for example,) there's only one-game in town. Which makes your points pretty much invalid. Ultimately, at times, it comes down to "how bad do you want that particular make/model"

Actually if you read my second post, my points are even more valid. This is exactly my main point - buy resin when there is no alternative. It is what I do. But buying a red on tan FF from BBR is waisting money.

Oh, again, I'm with you almost 100% of the way... but, I just HAD to have it (for example) so there it is- sometimes you have no choice (if you must have the model)...

Actually the alternative to BBR's FXXK is on its way. Lets see if they manage to release it by Christmas.

Spravil si si radosť aspoň v 12ke. Krásny model, od ešte lepšej firmy. Gratulujem.

In skimming the thread it appears that the Fabbri Centauria 1:8 scale kit has not been mentioned here. Produced on a subscription basis in the same manner as the DeAgostini McLaren models you receive parts packs over time allowing you to construct your own highly detailed model.
Information on their web site is all in Italian and not very informative but there is a Facebook page with loads of pictures and even some factory photos of the real assembly line.

This is the Amalgam model 1:8 in Grigio Ferro, specially made for Swiss collector Albert Obrist who also owns a 1:1 La Ferrari in Grigio Ferro.
Each owner/buyer of a new LF automatically receives from the factory an 1:8 Amalgam model in the same colors. The model usually arrives about 10 months after the delivery of the car.
