Ahh 1 step forward 2 steps back lol!! 1Just had oil change done and cleaned out air box and mafs fchat member did it for me $300 2 Fixed smog pipe on the manifold $180 4 still need to fix guages 5 just replace rear open switch on hatch 6 I finally swap out the passanger side fender sheild 7 just installed the carbon fiber airboxes Sent from my FRD-L14 using Tapatalk

You answered your own question. It appears there was an issue with the horn/wringing and the person decided to just disable it. I have great respect for crazy people like you who take on projects like this. I was sweating bullets when I was trying to put on a battery tender(which I was successful at).
I have some roll over valves that look good which I replace on my 360 spyder while I was in there! PM if you need.
There are some threads in here where the batteries inside the sealed siren unit go bad and can leak onto the small circuit board IIRC. If you search you will find. There is a GM equivalent part that swaps in to save a couple hundred but you lose some of the functionality of the system iff you go this route so I say stick with stock if you need to replace yours.
If the siren is triggered as soon as it is plugged in, it might have been set to the panic mode. Try holding the fob button for 3-5 seconds to see if it stops it.
