And surely Nissan is not going to build a pushrod v8 ... or if they do like Toyota with NASCAR they will be accused of cheating for many years because they will have to build an outdated motor just for V8 Supercars, thus of course it will be the best they can build from a clean sheet. Why don't Ford and Holden just run their newer engines?, ie. lets make it production based again. Then Ford could use a quad cam v8 and Holden could continue to play with pushrods but use their much moderner engine, and of course Nissan could use their Infinity engine. The series is a joke. The cars, especially the new design with the transaxle, have absolutely nothing in common with their road cars and for some strange reason run dinosaur engines. Why not run side valve engines as I'm sure they both have made them before? They need to open up the rules (just like F1 needs to), ie. production based car and lets go racing. Pete
For those interested and that live in Melbourne, it's a free day tomorrow at Sandown. My 6 year old this week asked me about footy and also mentioned the "C" word today, Collingwood. As you can imagine I am very concerned and hope by taking him to see some cars tomorrow I can break that habit before it starts. I'll be devastated if he continues to want to play AFL. Perhaps I should take him to see Uncle BlackJag to see what happens if you follow Collingwood your entire life. http://www.v8supercars.com.au/championship/events/2012testday/tabid/1437/default.aspx
When I was at Sandown the other day Fabian Coulthard was saying it was a gold coin donation which of course we'll do. The website says free.
Will he have the height to play AFL and be good at it Brett? I haven't met your Wife, but you're not that tall. I met most of the Brisbane Lions back in 2008 and my god, they were all TALL, big, strong boys.
Haha, sorry to destroy the myth, but you're far from tight. You've bought my lunch more times than I can remember. Only because I forget to pay perhaps.
Hopefully he takes after his mum, short. And FO, I'm not short, 182cm or somewhere around there. If I had hair that would add another 2-3cm.
Short Mummy, I thought so. Sorry mate, I thought you were a little shorter than me. I am 182-183 cm also. Those Brisbane Lions players were BIG men. The shortest guy that introduced himself was around my height and they got taller from there.
It's because you 'accidentally' don't have money on you, and I don't want to be stuck washing the dishes.
They're here......... Good day, only went for an hour, the place was packed. I think it was a good idea to open the gates. Hopefully in time they'll slowly revert back to actual road cars and have real competition. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
The cars after 2012 will just be manufacters bodies on the same chassis, same gearbox, diff its a joke. If Nissan and others don't have a suitable motor they can use the Ford or Chev engine.
