Maybe so , but then why would a 330 2+2 or a 365gtc4 have value? I have 575 money in a 365 gt4/2+2 (smart? who knows). My wife would rather take my Father's 575. Her preferred Ferrari experience is 500 hp and paddle shifters. Mine is a stick, carbs and timing chain. I like old stuff she likes new/newer stuff.

I would, but the car is for sale with a dealer. Meaning is he not investing any penny in the car. And with that price tag...

Maybe let the dealer know you want to make sure it goes back to the car, and ask them to let you know if the car sells and if they wouldnt mind giving the new owner your contact info. I'm probably being a bit optimistic that the dealer would follow-up and do anything, but you never know. It could help them serve as a selling point that it has the original book.

Yes, I don't get why they did not accept the book.
Their site shows some really nice cars for sale, some with the "classiche" stuff, meaning something like "we care about authenticity and history"... lol
All the cars are really highly priced, they must be confident in what they sell!!!

I kind of agree with you. How is a 550 or 575 really different than any new high performance GT car (other than the maintenance costs are probably 6 times more expensive with the Ferrari) why not have something different?

Good points and I can well remember when 330 GT 2+2's were $40K cars and a C4 was $70K. Still, they are classics from the pre-Fiat era and our cars, even though ranging from 27-45 years old, still seem to be stuck in the "Tweener" years between being a used car and a "classic". Maybe they finally are coming into the "classic" category as the last of the V12 Ferraris without computer engine management systems .
