Can't make it either. I'll be at a bachelor party the night before.......they usually run late. And yes, there will be naked girls there! The wedding is the following Saturday, so doubt I could do the drive on that Sunday too. To be honest, I don't know if I can even drive a Ferrari anymore. My eyesight may prevent it.
As long as you can see the naked girls, everything's all right!!! (drum roll.... here comes the "inappropriate" F-Chat police....) Skip, you are welcome to ride with me (as long as the wife does not come!), or, I'm sure, others would be more than happy to have you as co-pilot!
Thanks Mikey, I appreciate the offer. I'm sure I'll be able to see the naked ladies; or maybe not? One advantage of being blind, or half blind, is that if you can't see by eye, you're usually given the option to see by TOUCH! Get my drift??? I did drive an F-car for the 1st time today since October; pre-surgery. Only took out 3 Canada Geese and an 83 year old nun trying to cross the street. Not bad for a first try I'd say!
Skip, if suede makes you itch, stay with normal leather. As for all of the drives that are starting up and planned, along with Autobahn, I just dont know if Chelle and I will have the car ready to go by then, it is really coming together and so many improvements are being done, but it is taking a while. Got the 12 cyl. wedgied in the car, it is really cool. Chelle is doing an amazing job, kinda wild she can do it all herself. I just worry about the time, I am getting very antsy, and want to drive! I hope we can make all the early gatherings, we shall see.
ME TOO!!! You European travelers (or natives) are surely familiar with ABC's. I'm sure Andreas is! Is this a thread heist?
SpyderGirl, Since I can't make the drive, you and Chelle are welcome to come and get my 308 to do it, if your car isn't ready.
Wow Skip, Haley just told me to look what you wrote and offered.. It is a wonderful offer.. and we are honored that you would make it Haley said she's been sitting here since she saw the post waiting for me to get back from the shop to talk to me about it.. We're going to call you ... You're a great friend and a nice guy .. and we would feel the same about you if you had no ferrari's Give us a call when you get this if you have time to chat okay? Thanks from us both Haley's still trying to figure out how to respond, she'll send you a PM or reply on the phone Chelle....and Haley
No problem. I am helping Ed with his house addition this weekend. Should be available sometime Sun. nite. We'll be in contact.
Please don't use that as reason to excuse yourself from many of the Andreas/Dave/Frank events this summer. As long as your healthy you should be out and enjoying the very little but very much loved warm Illinois spring weather. I am sure anyone will offer you to drive along with them. If you really want your ass kissed I'll put on a little black hat and borrow my Dad's Rolls and go under the name of Geeves for a day... I don't think there has been on instance where the local FOC/FCA crew has not wanted your fun presence around. We are all here to pick up your spirits if need be. RocketBoy
So... who is doing the drive on the 1st??? I may be able to switch my schedule and go... if it is still on....
Mike, I'll be e-mailing all FOC members as well as posting further details for the May 1st drive on this thread within the next couple of days. Switch your schedule, or would you rather go to work? Hopefully not! Stay tuned... Dave
Here's an update on this Sunday's Wisconsin drive. FOC membership is not required to participate. Our meeting time will be 11:00 AM Sunday May 1st in the Half Day Inn's parking lot. I have plotted a map to our meeting site below which is the Half Day Inn 1270 South Milwaukee Ave. Half Day, IL. There has been a change of plans regarding the brunch. We originally planned for the brunch to be at The Abbey, however they won't have their Fontana dining room ready until Mother's Day. We will instead have a champagne brunch at Lake Lawn Resort which overlooks Lake Delevan. We will be parking in their center courtyard. The champagne brunch is $25.00 per adult, or $10.00 per child under 12. This includes tax and gratuity. Please come hungry, the brunch is outstanding. If you have any questions, or plan to attend, please e-mail me or post to this thread. I do need to give the restaurant an approximate head count. Thanks, and see you on Sunday, Dave Bendl Image Unavailable, Please Login
