FerrariChat.com update - Questions

In the old forum when I searched something the results would show the word I was searching for in red, making it easier to find in large posts. It seems that this is no longer available in the new forum?

 

Same issue. Started midday yesterday. Only on my desktop.

I don't know if it has been mentioned,

but I'm currently seeing "Xenforo" (not the old FC image) as the thumbnail for Ferrarichat in my Tab bar and on my browser homescreen.

 

I'm not sure, please take a look at this screenshot and the amount of white space I'm seeing on the "old" theme. Have to get 2/3rds of the way down the page before seeing any actual content. Image Unavailable, Please Login

I didn't read all of this so not sure if I'm the only one with this issue. On mobile (Iphone SE if it matters) I keep having to log in. I almost never had to do this on the old site.

Also, when I click "log in" on mobile, sometimes I can't log in at all as it goes to redirects. (Open whatever in app store, you won this, etc)

 

I am also experiencing having to re-login every time I visit the site, despite checking the 'keep me logged in' box...

Yes I did read your response. It said "please read the thread before posting question", suggesting that instead of posting I should have read through 800+ responses until I got to page 17.

 

I'll save you some digging.

It's a known bug. No fix for mobile yet that I know of, but on a regular computer, clear the cookies from your browser, then log back in, check the "remember me" bx, and it should solve the problem.

old theme - is You Tube embedding broken?

I like the new site.

 

It seems that links in posts that point to another thread or post elsewhere on F-Chat don't work anymore. They only direct you to the general section.

For example, in this post:

there's a link to another post:

but when clicking it doesn't get you there.

 

I've been fine for the most part with the new software using the 'Old' theme. Couple questions/concerns:

-It seems that if someone on your ignored list creates a thread, it is completely invisible when you're in a sub-forum.
-How do you change the number of posts per page? 50 per page is too much. It used to be an option in the User CP in vb.

 

In an effort to discourage img tags, I tried turning off auto embeding but didn't realize that it affects youtube. You can always embed with the film button in post tool bar
