Just read a great article on these cars. https://www.huffingtonpost.com/supercar-advocates/the-ultimate-ferrari-tril_b_14578932.html Just wanted to know if anyone owns all 3 of these iconic cars simultaneously? It would be a very exclusive club I presume.
More like the 3 stooges. NOT the Holy trinity... by a longshot. That would be Enzo, F40 and LaFerrari. Hands down. Otherwise LaFerrari, 918 and P1.
It's good to see people promoting mid-engine V8's! I doubt that anyone would own all three of those together though. They are so similar, except for the engine size. I have only driven the 458 other than my regular 360; which I actually prefer to think of as a Stradale Luxury Edition, but the first thing that I thought was, "This feels like my car!" ;-)
reminds me of this article https://www.classicdriver.com/en/article/cars/guess-who-just-challenged-ferraris-toughest-street-gang
That's a correct list for the V8's. Mid V12 would be F50, Enzo, LaFerrari. Front V12 is a lot harder, depending on how far back you'd want to go.
Just curious. If you can afford to have all three at the same time, would you just get a F40 instead? I think I will go with a F40 Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
I disagree. In my view, a supercar is a car is an exotic (i.e., produced by an exotic car manufacturer, not Chevy), very expensive, very fast car sold in low production numbers (e.g., no more than a few thousand). Based on that definition, these three qualify. For what it's worth, Evo also categorizes each of these cars as supercars. If you are talking about the next level, like the P1 and the La Ferrari, then you're in hypercar territory. Of course, all these terms are subjective as there is no concrete, widely accepted definitions of these terms.
I have a friend that owns Enzo, F40, F50, 288 GTO, that is the correct holy grail (I know two of them are not V8) He owns a CS too but honestly that car doesn’t fit into a holy grail status. Looking for a La ferrari eventually And not just Ferraris he owns a 959,Carrera GT, GT3 RS too Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Dave, I do agree with some of what you said. It’s very subjective. My bad, it’s all good, Ill be more mindful, if I may, so to speak, if you will, we all just regurgitate. So what’s next after hypercar a [Mr. ] Fusion mobile, or flux capacitor car, warp car? Is a Tesla X a super car? Is a Viper? I feel these 3 are limited edition luxury exotics track focused, no more. Special? hell yes! No more a super car than a GT-3. I’m not being a jerk, just have a different opinion. - ray Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
No offense taken. To answer your question, each of those would fail my test. Tesla is not exotic car manufacturer and Teslas are made in high production numbers. On top of that, they're not that expensive. Dodge, ahem, is not an exotic car manufacturer either and the Viper is also made in higher production numbers (I think). in addition, Vipers are not all that expensive (as compared to Ferraris, Lamborghinis, etc.). As for a GT3, they make tens of thousands of 911s so, high production numbers. I'd also go as far to say that Porsches do not qualify as "exotic" cars. It seems to me that you're equating "fast car" with "supercar," which is incorrect in my view. This is why I cringe when people say a Z06 is a "supercar." For a supercar, there has to be more cachet, and that comes from the exotic nature of the car/manufacturer, its "super" price tag, and its limited production figures. Just because a car is super fast doesn't mean its a supercar. I mean, we could put a huge number of batteries in a Prius to make it fast, but that wouldn't make it a "supercar."
Until last month I had the trilogy the thread talks about- albeit the Scud version was a 16M- so had 360 CS, 430 16M and 458 SP Pic of all 3 on my twitter @simonmorris69
My buddy has all three. I just have the Scud but honestly that’s the best car to me personally out of the three. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
I have all three...CS, 16M and Speciale A...love them all, but my 16M is my favorite driver's car out my mid-engine V8 Ferrari's.
The Scud is the poor man's supercar. As fast or faster than the 288 GTO, Enzo and F40 around Fiorano and available for a fraction of the price. Not quite as exciting to drive but pretty darn exciting none the less. The Speciale outperforms the supercars. IMO the na special edition V8 cars don't get the respect they deserve!
